As one of the few Yankees fans on this board, I'd just like to say that I'm glad to be playing the Tigers. As much as Verlander scares me, he and CC will each probably only pitch once in this series. I think the Yankees and Tigers are clearly the two best teams in the AL, and whichever one of us wins, I pray we stomp on the hopes and dreams of whatever pathetic NL team faces us. It's been three years since an AL team won the World Series, and I'd like to stop this streak before it gets any worse.

I disagree, I think the Yankees lineup will do just enough to win us the series. Average 4 runs/game. Right now with Pettite and Kuroda pitching well, Sabathia having been lights out for the past month and Hughes has shutdown potential each time he takes the mound, I don't think the Tigers will score many runs. The Yankees will do whatever they can to not let Cabrera beat them. Hopefully they keep everyone else off the bases for the opportunity to pitch around him.
