Brady spoke this morning at the DAC (Detroit Athletic Club) and I was in attendance. This was the first time that I've gotten to meet coach Hoke, and what an awesome person to be leading the program. You can tell that he just bleeds Michigan football, and is solely altruistic for the program and the kids that represent the university. He's such a throw back to Bo, and cant wait to see what's in store in the future. Here are some highlights that I recall that are paraphrased:

The speaker who gave his introduction applauded team 132 and the 11 wins and Sugar Bowl victory, and the first thing that coach Hoke said was that the team didnt meet their goals of a big ten championship, and they still have a long way to go.

He noted that 20-24 scholarships were available for the 2013 class.

I asked him when Charles retires, if he had interest to join the program and coach the secondary and recruit the best corners in the nation, if he would be open to it.....he paused for a few seconds and said "ummmmmmm, you never know." I dont think its been something hes been thinking about, but maybe I got that idea to simmer a bit.

Someone asked if he saw the recruiting tactics that Urban implemented regarding the college majors for the players at each university, and he responded "we dont recruit negatively, I'm not going to mention the 30 arrests and some felonies in 5 years that happened at Florida."

Hoke mentioned that 95 majors offered at Michigan are rated top ten nationally

He mentioned that the effort was lacking in yesterdays practice (Wednesday), so the strength/condition coach ordered 99 red shirts overnight, and the team was wearing them this morning for today's practice.

He's excited about the Alabama game to start the season and that its going to be "fun." He has not started preparing for them yet, and didnt even watch any of the national championship game.

He reiterated that nothing is more important then what the program does then the Ohio game.
