Brady Hoke monday presser notes

Hoke: Surgery went as well as it can (in regards to Fitz Toussaint ankle). We expect him back next season.
Hoke: On Ohio State week: It's a fun week of practice, its a fun week, its a fun week to be involved in.
Hoke: Denard (Robinson) continues to get better everyday. Good to see him out on the field to see what he can do at another position.
Hoke: Thomas (Rawls) has improved a lot as the season went on. Learned a lot about the position throughout the year.
Hoke: Were playing for a championship still. If you need to get amped up for this game (Ohio State) then you don't know college football.
Hoke: Desmond Morgan will be ready this week.
Hoke: On James Ross filling in for Desmond Morgan: We thought he would be a good player. He has good instincts and sees things well. Likes to tackle.
Hoke: On Ohio State- They are running the ball great. Putting up a lot of points. Their running game- it's a concern.

I know it gives the team an advantage when the other team doesn't know which QB is starting but it drives me nuts. I just want to know.

haha your right, I think its a definite advantage for Michigan and Hoke is playing it the right way. It a tough situation because Gardner has the hot hand right now but Denard Robinson is Denard Robinson and has so much experience. I say Michigan should keep Gardner at QB and move Robinson around from WR to RB and even QB some.

I think that's what we will see. Robinson will see the field more this week though in my opinion. I think Fitz being out means more Robinson at RB but I also think we see more of Denard at QB than last week.

I agree, but it just sounded like "could start" would mean that Gardner would be WR and Denard would be QB, like the beginning of the year. I hope that doesn't happen.
Or I'm just interpreting that wrong.

Yeah i would be disappointed if Devin doesn't get quite a few snaps at QB.

I took it as Hoke just being Hoke and not giving anything away to OSU. I would be absolutely shocked to see Devin play only WR this week.

@Willy- You could be right. I think Hoke does a great job by not giving much away. Personally I would play DG at quarterback the majority of the game and line Robinson up at receiver and in the backfield. I understand the logic behind starting Robinson at QB if he is 100 percent because he has so much experience and success at the position.

there is no way denard is the starting qb for this game. hoke saying denard could start means he is not starting.

Hoping Ross gets the majority of the snaps... Morgan is way too slow to play vs Brax... Ross runs sideline to sideline so well.
