This^^^^ exactly why. It doesn't matter how big a kid is, or how fast he is they are in 8th grade. If a big school offers that early it goes to the kids head, he thinks he is a rock star. This leads to poor work ethic, conceited attitude, and not reaching their perceived potential. Offering kids that early is pretty risky imo.

I actually agree with the UM guys on this, you just don't know what a kid will look like in 3/4 years.What if he grows into a 6'4" 250 DE and doesn't project well to the next level because he looses to much athleticism or doesn't have the mentality to play on defense etc. With that said it doesn't really matter bc the kid couldn't commit even if he had an offer. We are just getting are foot in the door.

But then a post is made by a "respected" Bucknut writer about coming into Michigan's backyard for a player that's just now hitting puberty. Since Michigan hasn't offered is this #scraps worthy?

Is that why when the Buckeyes staff asked the coach what universities he was hearing from he only mentions MSU.
I'm just saying seeings how scUM is considered among most people up North to be the college team representing the state of Michigan, that if the kid heard from scUM, it would have probably been the first school mentioned from the coach.

2 questions, and I mean no disrespect. 1. Why is ok for some of your guys to come on our board and call us Ohio (although it doesn't bother me, Woody always signed things Yea Ohio!) O$U, Suckeyes and we don't BAN people for it. But I've seen you guys get upset on hear over TTUN and s*UM. I am being respectful and did not spell it out! I think it's silly myself. 2. Someone said the bucknuts are desperate. How is that so? 24/7 has us @ 3 and you @ 5. Seems neither team is really desperate.

Ok, then if some of our more uptight folks get there panties in a bunch over Ohio, why do it if you are "respectful" on your board. My point was more that you guys are quick to ban. Bucknuts lets a lot of that go, we get lots of UM and PSU fans that post on our board. I see a lot of O$U, Suckeyes, etc. Rarely hear of anyone being banned. Again, I am asking a question, not trying to flame, blast or disrespect anyone. I am well aware it is your board. I enjoy reading it (sometimes ;) ) and just trying to get some insight.

We try and strive for discussions here, and I don't care how good your point is if you can't say it without disrespecting our team.
Like I tell every rival who complains about our rules, if you don't like them, then don't visit our board.
