I'm just saying the impact next year will be like that. Neither of them has that speed.

    Play

Tecmo Super Bowl - Christian "The Nigerian...

TSB's Christian Okoye versus the Indianapolis Colts defense. One run, one quarter of play, 75 yards, and around 60 broken tackles. When Okoye is in "Good" or "Excellent" condition, the Colts defense is incapable of tackling him without diving. If they simply run into Okoye, they'll bounce right off of him. This is because Okoye is the strongest runner in the game, and the Colts defenders tend to be very weak hitters. Like Bo Jackson, Okoye had a stellar NFL career that was prematurely ended by an injury. On a different note, congratulations to the real-life Colts for winning Super Bowl XLI.

When Jacobs played in NY with Bradshaw and Ward they had nicknames for themselves as a group....

They called themselves, Earth, Wind and Fire....

damn they were a great combo!

i will never forget that team with kosar at the helm, not to mention dixon and minnifield on the corners, michael dean perry up front and the lb's!!!!

damn, damn, damn (how did we ever lose to denver those yrs?)

oh well, (for us browns fans) richardson is the real deal, we just need some wr's and a qb to help take some pressure off him..

back to the point though. if green and smith can play like mack and byner you folks will win alot of games!

    good pick-up, congrats!!!

Elway just made some miracles and Byner fumbled away the win..but I honestly think the Browns were the better team..The energy around Browns football was amazing then..I hope the new staff makes the right decisions..moving to a 3-4 defenses is not what I wanted them to do but I hope it works..

Green and Smith behind the Oline will force defenses to respect the run as both run hard and will have to gang tackle them..in big games vs good defenses tho the play action passing game will have to be working and that is what will be the difference in Michigan being a solid team vs Michigan being a true contender.

This is what I would have gone with - it's a pity neither of those guys lived up to their promise in the NFL.

Don't know who all is aware but Brandon Jacobs got a good number of carries backing up Brown and Williams for a year, so the Wyatt Shallman comparison is there as well.

i take it you are from the cleveland area?

yeah, there was nothing better then that era....the whole town was friggin nuts with the browns...

hopefully, soon, we will get those days back!

Youngstown/Warren area..All of Northeastern Ohio was Bownsmania..I would just be happy with a playoff win at this point..Too many coaching changes..need to have faith and let somebody build something but fans demand wins fast..Have some good young talent just need to keep it and continue drafting well..Loved our DLine this year that's why I don't like the move to a 3-4

  • I say the combination of Green, Smith, and Shallman compares to the ancient Roman "Archaic Triad" of Jupiter, Mars, and Quirinus.

Shallman is Quirinus because they both are the lesser known of the three, but still an intricate part. Quirinus is often associated with a spear, which like Shallman is deadly at short distances, but not a huge threat from further out.

Smith is Mars because he is commonly known, but not as famous as Jupiter. Mars is the god of war and is known for his brute force, just as Smith has a violent running style where he just runs through players with ease.

Green is Jupiter, the most notable of all the gods. Jupiter is the god of thunder, which if you watch Green's film, he's like a lightning bolt, exploding through the hole and blowing past arm tackles. Most lightning bolts are relatively straight just like Green's running style, he doesn't dance around, he goes north-south as soon as possible.

All three will compliment each other excellently because even though they all base their running style off power, they each have their own way to go about it, making it very difficult to defend.
