  • This is a stupid move. I always thought Saban was a great coach and recruiter, but this clearly shows he's lost the edge.

    Look at the average of the recruits you have and the number of commits to date. Michigan has several more # wise than programs with a lower number of recruits with a higher average. Looking at some of the recruits other programs will probably close out with and Michigan's closure that is my estimate of your finish.

    Maybe not down to 10 or so but at least down to 7/8.

    This is my opinion and not meant to be a slur on your program........anything over #10 is a great recruiting year in my opinion....I know about opinions before you start.

    Really looking to our meeting this fall.

    I know it's not meant to be a "slur on our program", but dude. Come on. Your methodology is seriously flawed.

    Right now, the average of the recruits we have is being held down artificially by our offer to an unranked LS, just like yours is by that unranked OL you just got. Both of our averages should be about a full point higher than they are at the moment.

    Second, Michigan is still in on some very, very high quality recruits. Treadwell, McQuay, Bower, and Fuller, just to name a few. It's not like we're only down to 3-star filler recruits.

    Third, while I don't expect us to finish first, can you seriously name 10 other teams that'll finish ahead of us in the rankings? Please do, if you can, I'd like to see who you think will be in the top 10.

    Fourth and finally, we have as many or more 4-star recruits than all but one other team in the country has TOTAL recruits. If a class with 17 4-star commits can finish out of the top 10, I'd really love to see the classes that finish ahead of us, because it would have to be one of the most top-heavy commit years in history to see that happen.

  • I don't think its really a big deal that they offered a schollie to a ls. Bryce Haynes is a ls on schollie at OSU. And to the people who were wondering if they will rank the ls so your recruit rankings go up, Haynes was the no.1 ls that year and I believe he stayed at a 1 star or not ranked. Not sure if any of the services have changed their stance on ranking them in the past two years but that's how it worked a couple years ago.

    I don't know why people say that we'll drop a lot when signing day comes. Alabama may move ahead of us and maybe Texas but there's too much ground to make up for Florida or Georgia or anyone else.
