BEST DEFENSE IN THE B1G MY YOU KNOW WHAT!!!!

Every time a team needs a score or to keep a drive going against the spartans to close the game out, their offense moves the ball down the field and gets it. osu, iowa, michigan, nebraska. JESUS. 80 yards with 1:15 and no timeouts. GOD!

Michigan has the best defense in the B1G, it is time to say this. It is better than MSU's by a longshot right now.

If it weren't for the 34 our D allowed against Bama we would be a top-5 defense in the nation. With that, we're still a top-10. Safe to say we're the best defensive unit in the B1G. To have that be the case with our best secondary player out for the year and with more talent getting added each year, we're in great shape.

IMO, the only thing that is truly lacking is a legitimate pass-rusher. But even that isn't as big of a deal due to Mattison's schemes.

IMO, the only thing that is truly lacking is a legitimate pass-rusher. But even that isn't as big of a deal due to Mattison's schemes.

I would call Jake Ryan a legitimate pass rusher. We need a good DE, but we have good pass rushers.

That's what I meant, Jake Ryan isn't going to blitz every passing down, nor should he. Michigan needs someone else to step up there. And needs is a very strong word here, I just couldn't think of anything better.

We are very, very close to being one of the elite defenses in the country. Can't wait for the young guys like Wormley and Bolden to get their chance.

I agree, the fact that we have this good a defense with a mediocre DL is incredible.
Does anyone know what Jake Ryan's line was today?

I think with Pipkins, Strobel, Wormley, Godin, and Taco our DL will be fine. Our defense has only sniffed the surface of how good they'll be.

Quinton Washington is pretty solid though, and I saw Pipkins get some nice push. I think this DL might be deceptively solid, and I think it will only get better next year.

I agree, I'm really excited about how Washington has progressed. Seemed like Keith Heitzman got some descent playing time today and held his own.

completely agree, we need a dominate pass rushing DE, we haven't had that since Brandon Graham. A guy that can come off the edge every down and consistently get in the backfield would give this defense a huge boost and really make it elite.
