BCS Chances after Houston Loss...

Based on BCS At-Large rules, Michigan would have to make the top 14 to qualify. Sitting at #16 now, and and with that Houston loss, things get interesting. Previously at #6, Houston's loss came to a ranked team in #24 Southern Miss. Do they drop below Michigan? I don't know, that would be up to a 10 spot drop and Michigan, having two losses, one to an unranked Iowa, I just don't see that leap frog happening. In all reality, it doesn't matter, all we know now is that we won't be playing Houston.
Of the other teams ranked higher, let's look at KSU. They are deadlocked at 20 with ISU, with a few minutes left in the 3rd qtr. If they lose, they will undoubtedly drop below Michigan since ISU is pretty bad this year. MSU and Wiscy, whoever loses, should drop below UM. An Oklahoma loss could be tricky. If they keep it close, with the #3 team in the country, do they drop far enough? I don't think so. I think it all hangs on Georgia, and we need them to lose.
What throws another wrench into things is Baylor. Theire at #17 right now, playing #22 Texas. If they win, they may jump us, so we, IMO,still need some help. I think we need KSU AND Georgia to lose before we are in the top 14 safely, coupled with the MSU/Wiscy loss.

There is zero chance Houston is staying ahead of Michigan. They were just exposed for the frauds they were by Southern Miss, that was a demolition, not just a loss.

I'm not sure how far they will drop. However, Boise is now going to take their bid.

If LSU loses no way there should be a rematch between LSU-Bama neither of them will have one the same conference. If Kansas State and Baylor lose we have basically sealed our bid along with a Oklahoma State win. Plus the computers put in new numbers after the season and those will change the rating a little bit

Honestly, I'm not that fussed, a New Year's Day Bowl in Florida wouldn't really be any worse than the Sugar Bowl or whatever it is we'd get in the BCS.

But the Cougars lost by enough that they could fall below the Wolverines which would put them in the top 14—and if Houston falls farther, TCU could gain an auto-bid spot and keep UM out. It's going to be very tight for Michigan if Georgia beats LSU."

Baylor will end up at 9-3 at best and have blowout losses to Oklahoma State and Texas A&M to go along with a close loss against Kansas State.

Yeah if LSU loses they don't deserve to be in the NC. I'm sorry if you can't win your own conference and even get a first down in the first half you aren't the best team in the country. If Oklahoma State wins they deserve to be in the NC
