This has been going on for a couple of years and announced over several media outlets. Where have you been? If this was going to be an issue it would have already reared it's head. Did you read the part about educational purposes? Many universities give laptops to their entire student body. That means every single undergraduate gets a computer.

Might be? There is no doubt about it. The ipad is cheaper then one semester, and much cheaper than a full college tenure of textbooks.

Except for one small detail. You still have to pay for the textbooks to access them on an iPad.

Hi, Can someone tell me what exactly is the BBQ at the bighouse and generally what happens during the event. And what this does for the university and how it helps our recruiting class. I'm from Seattle, WA......just curious what happens at this event...

Its an event that the coaches hold to allow mostly commits and key targets to attend so that they can get to know the program and the coaches more. The coaches invite their own families and recruits are encouraged to do the same. Its not so much a large recruiting event like a "junior day" as thats not the intention of the coaches. They really want to focus on individuals and build relationships with them and allow recruits to get to know one another.

Eh, Tate was a mess for most of the summer leading up to the '10 season. He, Austin White and Jerald Robinson were quite the trio on campus. Missed several "voluntary" workouts and barely stayed eligible. Tate almost flunked his summer classes. That's why RR was forced to go with Gardner as the backup.

^^ you sir are correct. If Tate hadn't been so immature and done what most players do he would have started. I'm not saying that denard wouldn't have played. Remember he had his wings stripped from his helmet, that's pretty bad.
