You have no favorite boards.
First, admins, if you feel like this needs to be taken down or moved, please do so. I don't want to fill your board with things that you will have to wade through. I am staff writer for BearsTruth.com (Baylor 247) and posted this on our site as well and had a wonderful response.
My girlfriend of four years (23 years old) was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in July. It was a huge shock, obviously, and we weren't expecting the expenses that came with it. Luckily, God has provided Sarah with a wonderful job that covers 100% of her insurance.
In a way to give back, we are starting a non-profit foundation that helps other men and women with MS and are burdened by it financially. The medications and hospital bills can become almost as life altering that the disease itself, and we feel that we can at least help in this way to relieve stress for at least a few individuals and their families.
The link to the initial fundraising page and the Facebook page are at the bottom. I don't want you to feel as I am asking for a contribution, I just ask for you to share these pages with your friends and family and help us create awareness about a disease that is prevalent, but somewhat unknown.
However, if you would like to contribute, you can do so via Pay Pal (http://www.sarahshope-ms.com/) as well as the attached page.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
My girlfriend of 4 years was recently diagnosed w/ multiple sclerosis. This process kicks off creating an organization to help MS patients w/ medical expenses.
As Wolverine247 subscriber I will be glad to help out! I will be spreading the word! Good luck!
Wow, that's awesome that her employer is covering it. Thanks for coming over here, and I'll definitely be contributing and sharing it. Best of luck to you and your loved one through this ordeal.
Colt, thanks for stopping by and sharing. Great idea. Feel free to stop by our board anytime. Good luck to you and your girlfriend!
Thanks for all the kind words! If we had more recruiting battles I would likely float around here more, but not too many going on now.
Good luck to you guys in the dance... hopefully Baylor can pull out the upset tomorrow night over Oklahoma State and make it in.
