  • I love Walton's game. He's true point guard and has great passing skills. Would like to see him be more agressive when he's driving and take some of those shots but will be outstanding at distributing the basketball to the rest of our weapons.

  • I think Mark Donnal is going to be very good in Coach B's offense. The improvement the kid made between his sophmore year and Junior year has me very excited to see his senior highlights. He got much stronger and played much more physical. He will provide Michigan with a kid who can play in the post with his back to the basket and still step outside and knock down a 3. He reminds me of the Wisconsin Bigs of the past few years.

  • Beilein really has the program headed in the right direction. If Michigan can make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament this year, recruiting could take another spike upward.

Good point. A lot of preseason hype and expectations around the Michigan bball program, especially now after they were ranked preseason top five. Like you said, if the basketball program can make a deep run into the tournament it will help their recruiting and football recruiting as well. Good players want to be surrounded by good players.

Interesting point about basketball helping football, and vice-versa. Just to compare, I know Iowa took some football recruits who were in town on an official visit to a basketball game last December. It was a nonconference game, the Hawkeyes weren't playing well at that point and the arena was barely half full. Contrast that with Michigan taking its football recruits to see the Wolverines host Ohio State in front of a packed house in basketball, and one school clearly has the advantage. The better the basketball team is doing, the better the atmosphere at the games will be, and that'll impress the football recruits in attendance.

  • Michigan looks like the real deal early on. I really do think you guys have one of the best teams in the country in 2012-13, and one that has the ceiling to keep getting better.

The Pittsburgh game coming up will be a test and a nice gauge for how good this team is and will be.
