If this is another schollie opening up, it makes it interesting for the final stretch. Michigan coaches may start to full-scourt press some of these elite defensive guys that are left, and still have us favorable, i.e. Priest Willis, McQuay, Mathis, etc.

I kinda think they expected this since we have Lewis, Conley, Douglas and Stribling in this class.

I'm reading Michigan can take up to 28 guys this year. With 3 being backdated. There's already talk of a couple guys in this class EE (Dymonte Thomas, Ross Douglas, and now DeVeon Smith is thinking about it). If 3 enrolled early, that would allow us to push it to 28.
Once again, I'm not saying this is true, but it is what I have read.

Bummer. Heard good things about him from Ohio recruitniks after he committed. Must of been passed up by freshman.

Isn't Richardson the only freshman CB?
Unless Carter was moving to FS, and then Wilson and Clark are also there.

Best of luck to him. But honestly he was never gonna play besides special teams. Spot opens up for a better player. It's a win win.

The 25 cap is not the problem. The 85 cap is. Tamani Carter's transfer brings us up to 22 guaranteed openings for the 2013 class. Assuming Fitz goes pro after this year, that gets us to 23. But we still would need to find five more openings to get to 28. It's theoretically possible, but seems unlikely. I am guessing 25-26 at this point.

I truly hope we don't go past 25. We have filled our needs this class and should save the spots for 2014.

Muhammad would be great, but I see taking him means McDowell goes elsewhere and being that we took 2-3 SDE's last year depending on how you see Godin, I just don't think its worth it.

I don't think so. I think McDowell would play on the opposite side of Muhammad.
