Having seen this kid in person, he is a BEAST. It would be amazing to add him to this class. I don't think he'll go north, but it's great just to get him on campus.

Very nice, Braden Smith is a monster. If you get a chance, go watch his video from the Under Armour combine on ESPN...kid is pure muscle.

He's 6'6", 285 with barely any body fat. He just won the genetic lottery, it's ridiculous. He also has an incredible work ethic to build up, but damn. The kid is ridiculous. Get him in a college S&C program and there's no telling how good he could be.

Yes, we are talking about the same Braden Smith. I'm not talking about him going up against the scrubs he plays against in Kansas. By now, we all know how he looks physically. He should dominate those kids at the high school level lol, so good for him. He has been much maligned in recent months when he has actually had the chance to go up against other kids of his talent level at a couple camps/events. He's been abused. Been some very negative remarks about him, regarding slow feet, not a lot of nastiness, etc. Not many believe he's going to be a LT in college. He'll be lucky to be a RT, IMO. That's his best case scenario, but guard is always a possibility.

Ah. I haven't really seen his camp reports, so I'll defer to your wisdom. That's a damn shame that he isn't showing up at camps, he's got so many of the physical tools to be elite.

We've talked about Braden for months here. Michigan, Notre Dame and Ohio State are all targeted for a spring visit. Michigan has been out to the school several times and is one of the programs recruiting him the hardest. A few Michigan related stories can be read on his profile linked.

I am far from any expert to be sure. And I also say this with the understanding that the video chopped every time the play started so it was hard to keep track of Smith...but he looked REALLY quick in that video. He seemed to be pulling lightning fast.

I am no "expert" by any means, but if by overrated, you are implying not a 5-star, then I agree with that. I don't see him as a 5-star prospect at this point in time. JMO.
