bkp1883...........With your roster and your first five of Barnum, Lewman, Schofield, Omameh & Mealer that gives you starting five averaging 297 lbs.....bigger than the Rivals weight listed there............Smaller than Bama's avg of 218 lbs.
And of course size does not always matter, but all other things being equal it is a factor to consider.

Dude, there is college football and there is Michigan. Once again our recruiting is still just warming up. The BEST o-line class period the last 2 years and more. We are Michigan not the average team like Texas, Oklahoma, Auburn, etc. Don't be dreaming now! I just can't wait for our expansions to be completed, hopefully in my life time. Imagine 140,000 in the Big House. Only Michigan can pull this off!

So you are stating that Brady Hoke in a less talented part of the country will build as much talent and depth in 3 years total as Nick Saban would have in 7 years? Not to mention with 2 BCSNC trophies and in one of the most deep, talent rich areas in the entire country? Man I am all for Michigan coming back to dominance but 3 good recruiting years wont equal sabans 7 top 5 recruiting classes. The overall depth just wont be there man. Think about what you are saying. Im not saying it wont happen in 4-5 years but to assume Hoke can build a team of Alabama's depth and talent level in just 3 years is kinda hard. FWIW I cant stand Ohio State and I hope yall make those little B%^&*@ say uncle on the field every year. Send Urban running for the broadcast booth again. What a whiny little #$%^ he is.

What I am saying is Michigan is very special. Much more than most CFB fans nationally know. Michigan is NOT a regional program, but rather a national program equal to ND or greater in influence and respect. Michigan has the largest alumni base period. Believe me I am very aware of what Saban has done. But as you can tell our recruiting is blowing off the charts and we have not won yet. Give us a year or 2 and watch out, our recruiting will be insane. I respect Bama, I do not respect Saban. He never could out recruit Michigan while at Moo U. Bama is an Old Van Guard of CFB like Michigan. RR killed our recruiting and we have issues we are repairing due to those few years. But you have to admit, we are going head to head with the top programs in the country and we are winning the recruiting battle. Because of that we will surprise the national CFB fanbase. So yes, with maybe the best coaching staff period, we will make a splash. How big, I do not know but we are headed in the right direction. Go Blue and please destroy those cats in south east bama. Damn I do not like them, and my wife's uncle is a booster down there. When they lose the world is a happier place! GO BLUE and Roll Tide (except for Sept 1).

ReasonableDoubt said...ave cut back on the oversigning
We aren't knocking michigan when we say that youre being optimistic. Saban had signed THE TOP CLASS for the last 4/5 years. Saban's first full class produced about 7 + first round picks, not including guys like upshaw, t cody... His second class has already produced three first rounders with more coming.
I have no doubt that you guys will compete for it all in a few years...but it's strong words to say you'll be more talented than us. Bama lost four first round picks the year before we won the championship. We are loaded from starters to scout team.

Obviously you have no idea of what Michigan is, we have been a NATIONAL program for ever. We will again get who we want wherever they are period. Did you not know that we went head to head with 3 of the nations top linemen this year and last year and we won the recruiting battle. My point, our recruiting has been equal to the top CFB programs. Since we have one of the top NFL DEF coordinator as our DC. Add that to what Michigan is and has, none other compares. Not knocking any other school, but Michigan is very special.
Sure you are loaded, and the signing rules have cut back on the oversigning which has pissed off nick satan.
I respect BAMA, but I can't stand nick satan. I want you, the media and other fans to continue to tell our kids they don't have a chance, are not good enough, don't measure up, etc.
Bama may with and will compete for the NC this year, but the season will be interesting!
With that behind us, as I said, I respect BAMA and I'd have a beer and enjoy a game with any BAMA fan anytime. But any other SEC fan, stay away I can't stand the arrogance.
Just beat the crap outta that SW georgia school, please killem!

Saban signed a lot of kids when he first came because 1. We were coming off probation with a depleted roster 2.there was a ton of attrition with the new coach. The past three years, only once has bama signed more players than michigan...that was a class that michigan signed 20 and bama signed 23.
I won't bother speaking on anything else.

This ^^^^ is a fact. You're only speaking in opinion, most of which makes no sense. Since we're speaking in opinion, I think Michigan will likely sign a bigger class than bama this year too. If that means Bama is oversigning, then Michigan must be oversigning.
But I wouldn't want the truth to stop you from hating, so hate on.

Note that Michigan had a fairly depleted roster from a coaching transition, and roughly even recruiting numbers would imply that Saban is dumping players at about the rate as a program would lose during a acrimonious transition. The result is graphics like this:

Will it be a continuation of the bowl at the end zones, or will it be like what LSU's end zone seating in the pic looks like? I have read that Brandon wants to make the seating in the endzones as high as the current scoreboards.....the big house just keeps on getting better.
