Brionte Dunn would have been a PERFECT fit for Michigans pro syle offense. Hoke wanted him so bad and every Michigan fan did too. Of course no one wants to admit a "loss" but it was. He was originally our commit but without Urban we would have lost him for sure, therefore Urban locked him up.Tim Tebow and Urban couldnt beat Michigan but they could win two national championships, yeaa they werent that good and theres no way he could possible win a couple with Braxton.. You're fooling yourself if you dont think he can do the same thing at Ohio State. Look at the QB's hes coached and how successful they've been in college and in the NFL.. Multiple national championships is the goal, get used to it

Ty Isaac will fill the position just fine.

  • Psych G we aren't talking about the NFL partner. Are you saying as long as Urban produces NFL players it won't make a lick if he wins at Ohio? Better stop worrying about what Urban did with players at Florida and start recruiting defense. Remember, a team in Michigan put up 40!

The key that thing you are trying to spin is that at some point this fall Dunn was no longer a Buckeye commit. That's just not the case, he was a Buckeye commit throughout the process.

Buckeyes don't let the truth get in the way of a good story. Dunn is a solid player, but he wasn't going to make or break either recruiting class. IMO, Ty Isaac is the real recruiting prize out there.

  • We would have lost Dunn without Meyer. Guaranteed. Therefore we have a beast a$$ coach who can recruit a player away from a perfect fit (Michigan) to play in a spread offense where he is likely to not be used as ideally as he would have at Michigan College

  • Gotta love it when Ohio fans call Michigan a college when it's a hundred times the university theirs is.

  • If Meyer has to claim that as a victory, he is placing the bar very, very low.

    +1.

A recruiting win would be Michigan taking Kalis from the suckeyes. Urban has tried to flip a few of our commits but they've all told him to go pound sand.

Who told him to pound sand besides Kalis? There was no going back for Kyle, he burned that bridge...

And yet, we know that Urban contacted Kalis on at least two occasions.

And all reports are that Urban was there to see AJ Williams.

    Strobes and Bolden

Mentors coach has been quoted saying that Urban has not tried to contact him. Why would we go after strobel when we have Washington, Spence and Pittman? And I wish that we would have went after Bolden, but I belong to 2 premium buckeye sites and havent heard one thing about that. And no, they werent there to see williams, if you dont believe me go ask a staff member. I cant remember the kids name they went to see....

As if any homer like Bill K will admit that Urbs and staff were there to see Williams after they was shunned.

If you believe half of what the staff at BN posts you are doing yourself a disservice.

  • Wait Urban Meyer produces successful NFL QBs?

Alex Smith was floudering in SF until Harbaugh came along and gutted/simplified the offense for him.

I don't think Leak is even in the NFL.

And Tebow... I just don't even know what to think of him at this time and what is going on, but what a lot of people forget is that defense has really stepped up and I think that is a bigger reason for the turnaround.

  • Bra, he didn't have an offer. We have 4 spots left and need OL and LB. Now go ahead and downvote me and believe what u want. Why didn't williams say that urban and Luke were talking to him then? Cause they weren't!

Urban Meyer's best recruiting win over Michigan?

Keeping a kid from decommitting to go to Michigan.

    Talk about your recruiting juggernaut!!!!!!

(And, this is Meyer on full rest and before he has to get back in the game that burnt him out in a few seasons at UF.)

Urban has only been on the job and recruiting for a month. Hoke has been for over a year. Next recruiting class we can compare and see who did better.

    Cool story bro. Nobody cares.

Back to the topic, it's always good to see your incoming players embracing the rivalries. It seems particularly apparent with this year's class.

    Good stuff. thumbsup

Why waste a scholly on a kid that will get 10 carries max a game? I understand Dunn's love for O$U, but he made a huge mistake football wise.

Well if he isn't being truthful with these kids then it will eventually come back to bite him.
