A matter of ethics?

  • I'm a little confused and need help. If a Michigan commit is unsuitable to continue to be considered a viable target because he commited and broke his commitment by visiting other schools, he thereby does not demonstrate the character we require. Then how is it that commitmment to other schools that does the same by visiting Michigan doesn't exhibit the same lack of character, and is therefore just as unsuitable as our commitment who did likewise? confused

    Uh...

    ... what?

We're not saying that kids who visit other schools have character issues. Conley has handled it very well and we wish him the best. Guys like Pharaoh Brown and David Dawson are a different story because it seems like they deliberately lied to the coaches and went behind their backs, trying to hide the visit from them.

It's not unethical for a committed kid to take visits. It's unethical to try to lie about it and hide those visits.

  • Yeah, you are looking at the ethics the wrong way.

Hoke doesn't care if you don't commit, and look around. Look at him going after Green and Treadwell.

His only rule is, if you commit to be a Michigan man...you are a Michigan man. Michigan will never drop you, and in turn, you should not drop us. It is like a marriage.

    Makes sense. Thanks.
