  • I would like to be able to search for threads by typing the name of the thread to recover prior posts or opinions more efficiently. It would be nice to recognize those whose prognostications came to fruition, while also holding those accountable with a fail. It seems right now, threads are stored chronologically by last post, so if someone wants to look up a thread from 1-2 years ago, it would be a pain to sift through all that content.

  • Honestly, as long as you remember the thread title, just google it. I've revived the Meyer OL scraps thread a couple of times and I just google the thread title plus "247 sports" and it pops up right away.

  • When are we going to get a poll feature on this site?

  • My idea for 247, directly stemming from the Takeover thread/MrWoodson, is that 247 no longer considers the school a recruit is committed to when they rank him. What a joke.

The idea behind this is that rank prospects lower based on the scheme they're committed to. Like for example, if JT Barrett (a spread QB) was committed to Bama (who runs the pro-style), they'd drop Barrett's ranking because it isn't the right scheme for him.

I do disagree with this, but I can see where 247 is coming from.

So where a QB is committed affects their rankings here..

Got to say I strongly disagree with that practice.

I guess I can 'see where 247 is coming from' but I still find the whole idea idiotic. Does this mean they measure which 2* recruits that went to Bama are now in the NFL compared to the 2* recruits that went to Pitt? There's no way in hell they do that much research. Because if it's all about their chances of making the NFL, which is part of what I extracted from that thread, they're just saying let's let the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Bama brings in almost exclusively 4 and 5 stars, so they will inevitably be better on average over the course of several years. But because these players weren't busts, the 4 stars who commit there now wont be busts?

There's just so much grey area with this, and it would be much wiser of 247 to leave it out of consideration. But I generally use the composite so I guess it doesn't matter much in the end.

  • I remember somebody on here said being able to predict where a recruit would sign would be a cool feature. Looks like they're going to integrate that feature.

  • One big goal for 247 that I've seen them mention a few times is reworking (for lack of a better term) the message boards. They do have the search feature in the upper right but I've found that it does not work very well in general. Would be nice to narrow searches on the message boards too.

Also, you can "Follow" topics if you like. There used to be a filter that showed only posts from users and topics that you follow. It has been missing for a while, but I assume they'll bring that back at some point.

I think the solutions for now are what CMXI said. Or you could just bookmark various threads in your browser.
