    Wheatley Jr. is a monster!!!! 6-7 235?

Zach Okun, Reno Rosene, Zach Rogers, Mekhi Brown, Kahlil McKenzie and TJ Fehoko will also likely become targets as well. Kafentzis will get looks from everyone.

  • Is Wheatley jr interested in UM or will he be where is old man is?

Two years? I don't think Jackson leaves for like 5 years at least, personally. I think he should leave sooner, though

  • It has been said that Fred Jackson will retire after Jeremy Jackson graduates from Michigan. Jeremy is expected to graduate next year.

Btw, I don't know if anyone has seen Tyrone Wheatley Jr.'s highlight tape but it is very impressive. Think of 2014 TE/DE target Garrett Dickerson but taller and leaner.

But unlike Dickerson, Wheatley Jr. is nearly guaranteed to be a DE. If he fills out (which is reasonable), we could be looking at a Julius Peppers or a Jadeveon Clowney type player. And I don't type that lightly. Given his father's athletics gifts, it's clear that Wheatley Jr. inherited some of that.

He was born in Michigan. Has family in Michigan. He grew up watching Michigan.

Miner is considered something of a phenom despite playing on a losing team.

What position? I think I remember reading about him elsewhere....is he a safety/CB?

  • "Talked to 2015 RB Damien Harris's coach. Ohio State is recruiting him the hardest led by Tim Hinton. Michigan, his boyhood fave is also in regular contact led by Al Borges. Will hit Alabama for a junior day in February."

    We're screwed.

I am not worried - yet. Yes, he will be a tough pull. I would rather not see another Treadwell situation. We are one of the first to offer, other elite schools follow suit, and then we lose in the end.

But ... such is life if we want big-time recruits.

I was obviously kidding, we're not screwed with Damien Harris we're clearly out in front.

I was saying that because Borges is his primary contact, who apparently sucks at recruiting.

Whoever downvoted me must've had a shitty Friday thus far.

    I got you +1.

By the way, things obviously change, but from what it sounds like, Damien Harris is much closer to being a Shane Morris situation than a Laquon Treadwell situation

  • You would think Michigan would be recruiting Harris the hardest because we need running backs of his caliber + he grew up a Michigan fan+ they saw him at camp. Not worried, but the coaches will really have to step up their game if they want him.

Thanks and I agree. I hate that we're not getting Treadwell. For months over the summer I imagined him being our featured offensive WR next year with Gallon.

Very much agreed. Just for reference, here are some retweets from Harris just in the past 4 hours

Very excited about the 4.35 @Damien_D1Harris ran, can't wait for him to #goblue. Him behind these OL we've been getting? #Heisman for sure

@Damien_D1Harris can you just commit to michigan right now please? Haha #goblue

I will cry if Damien Harris @Damien_D1Harris doesn't end up in a #Michigan winged helmet! Can't believe we've gotta wait 2 more yrs. #GoBlue

    @Damien_D1Harris ... Ummm 4.35 40 time ... That's flat out denarded

Plus two twitter interactions with Tremendous in the past two days. You don't see him doing this with any other school...obviously theres a lot of time for things to change, but he's all blue right now.

I suspect his recruitment will kick it into high gear, with the sleaziness coming out of the woodwork. Schools have 2 years to work on him. The LT situation soured me somewhat, but I know it goes with the recruiting territory.

  • According to Allen Trieu Damien Harris ran a 4.35 in the 40 yard dash (which was supposedly laser timed)

I've attached an interview of Damien Harris by Mike Farrell. Pay attention to what Damien says: "both schools try to dog each other to make the other college look bad just to get me." That's a euphemism for negative recruiting.

Hence, Farrell asks "Is there some negative recruiting going on?" as the follow-up question to which Damien responds hesitantly "...the usual."

Damien does name Michigan his leader at the end of the video.
