He and CB John Reid from the Philly area are looking like easily top 100 players.

i agree. His explosiveness on defense is amazing. You see him blow by everyone and make a tackle in the back once he recognizes the play. Even though he is 5'9 his legs look pretty thick to me.

Carter Masek out of East Grand Rapids (MI); 6'3"/210 already as a sophomore.

I've had the privilege of watching him up close the past couple years, and he is indeed a special athlete. Plays for one of the premier teams in the state of Ohio against great competition. Made his debut on varsity as a freshman against St. Ignatius in the playoffs and intercepted the first pass thrown his way. Great nose for the football and a willing tackler for a guy slight of build. Decorated sprinter as well. Finished 9th in the state in the 100M dash as a freshman (extremely rare in D1 Ohio), and holds one of the top 15 60m dash times in the country so far this year for indoor track. Honor roll student to boot.

As a Buckeye fan, I am hoping the staff starts laying some groundwork on the kid soon. They will have their work cut out. It's no secret he is a big Michigan fan. I believe his father grew up in Michigan and has lots of family still up there who are all big UM fans.

The kid's talent is for one discussion, but seeing how we won't land him I will leave that aside. I wanted to post this because Nick Brossette has set the standard for high school highlight videos. This was the most well executed tape I can remember watching and every recruit should strive to mirror it. Perfect music and awesome commentary for a 5* talent.

He already holds offers from LSU and Bama. The kid is legit.
