It sounds like Sparty has gotten their hooks into Malik McDowell. He's tight with Gholston now too. That would be a huge blow if we lost him to MSU.

Remember about 6 months ago when a certain Wyatt Shallman was visiting MSU, and saying a lot of great things about them? When he had all those MSU players he was tight with on his visits? Yeah, like two weeks later he committed to UM.
McDowell may come to UM, he may not and end up at MSU. But let's give all the speculation a rest until something credible comes up.

What could possibly be their pitch? The one guy they coached up and was their Poster Boy for Dantonio slid to the second round. Gholston will get there on his merits not what those guys necessarily coached him up too.

Yeah, definitely not worried about McDowell yet.
Other guys who MSU has gotten "their hooks" into include: Patrick Kugler, Kyle Bosch, Maurice Hurst Jr, Wyatt Shallman, Shane Morris (yes, seriously), Jourdan Lewis, Royce Jenkins-Stone, Terry Richardson, James Ross, Devin Funchess, Mario Ojemudia, etc.

McDowell is NOT going to MSU .... if he spurns UofM, then he is off to Pac-12. You people are reading way too much into this one. I also said McDowell and Webb will be tough to get, as they will have offers from every elite school, which is NOT the MSU.

Yeah, they have to throw bones at MSU about how elite prospects are cnsidering them because even though they don't admit it, Sparty would love to get highly ranked commits. They post info about how a commit is "tight" with MSU on basically all of our commits and they never end up there.
