Looks like JC thinks we will get Hand. Saw it in a tweet from Shannon Terry in which he gave a sneak peek at 247's new Crystal Ball feature (it looks pretty cool).

Yeah I just saw that too! It means nothing, especially since he hasn't visited yet. But jts still awsome

I agree. It's certainly not a negative, but it doesn't mean much. Based on the tweet, 3 schools have the same likelihood of landing Hand so picking Michigan out of the 3 seems like a total guess.

  • It's test data guys; lol

Still wouldn't be surprised if Michigan gets the most votes though.

What was the third school besides Michigan and VT? nvm Alabama but it's really a two team race because Hand said he favored VT and Michigan over Alabama.

Are you forgetting to count Mone?

I said we wouldn't take both (Marshall and Williams) without seeing where Hand and McDowell are at.

And my point is the scenario you present wouldn't occur because we wouldn't take Marshall and Williams period. They both play WDE. With slots being limited the coaches aren't going to take two guys slated for the same position. Mone, hand, McDowell, Williams/Marshall in this hypothetical example. Taking McDowell and hand is the exception to taking two guys for the same position because they are both graded highly and versatile enough to play in and outside.

Williams is a big athletic kid with the frame add plenty of Weight. He could project to either DE spot.

If Marshall wanted to come, it wouldn't rule Williams out. Like I said, they would see where they stand with McDowell and Hand.

Guys, we have no idea how many spots or who the coaches would or would not take. I don't even have an opinion to add because its no one does. You guys have a great argument going for each case, but there is no winner for a year.

You're right that we don't know how many will end up in the class, but we know exactly how many spots we have at the moment. There will likely be a little attrition, but I'm not even confident they get to 19.

I'm saying it would be a very good bet to assume we won't take 5 DL in such a small class.

So as Steve was saying earlier, this could be a year where coaches may not accept commitments from kids right away if they wanted to pull the trigger and there are guys higher on the board that are undecided.

It could happen at other positions as well, such RB, or OL.

Ha ha. Yeah I get it. I'm just not sure what's going to happen at all. Thjs will be interesting to see where the cards fall.

I'm really interested in what happens at RB. It seems like Hood and Mixon are the top targets. I can't see them taking more than 1 in this class.

If someone like McKenzie wanted to come, but one of those top guys still was showing legit interest, I'm not sure what they would do.

In that situation, I hope they'd take Mckenzie.

Even though I think Mixon and Hood are better than Mckenzie, Mckenzie is still good enough to where I'd happily take him. I wouldn't want to tell him "no, you can't commit right now" and then try to reel in Mixon or Hood first. What happens if we don't get either of them, and Mckenzie commits someplace else? Then we'd be left with #scraps at RB.

  • RB is a position where anyone they have offered is someone they would take. Remember Ballage is a good possibility at running back too.

If that were the case, could you see them adding a second back to such a small class, If say Mixon was interested later in the cycle?

  • I could be wrong here but I think I remember reading that Hood was also being offered as a Linebacker and would get some time at Running back as well...It was a few weeks back I read this and things could've changed. I love him at RB though and haven't seen much tape of him at Linebacker.

Mich is only looking at him as a RB. Here are other schools recruiting him as a LB.

Good I am glad to hear that I don't know why he wouldn't be looked at as a Running back in the first place, Kid is a fricken bull. He breaks tackles even better the Deveon Smith and Derrick Green IMO. He is very similar to Deveon, except he plays against better competition.

Careful. I think that's where KOOBJOE got his information before he got sent to Guantanimo.

It's an addition that will have all the recruiting analysts predict where a prospect will end up. That way, on his profile, you can see where the analysts think he will go, when they made the prediction, etc.
