    I disagree. If he leaves the state it will be for a school like lsu or usc, yet that would counter the point of him wanting to avoid the bright lights. I am confident he'll be in this class. 60/70%

    Hmmm .... I am less confident. If he leaves the state, I see ND as the tougher competition right now. I will wait and see his reaction to a USC or LSU offer when it happens. The MSU board is buzzing about their chances as being good, which I lump with ours - eh. His recruitment will blow up this fall, and his options will be many and wide. Many good schools out here to choose for him. Don't get me wrong ... I would love to see him in our '14 class ... but ... the road on this one will be long and wide.

  • I'm pretty confident about Malik ending up Blue as of right now. Could change in the future but I'm optimistic presently

    Agreed. Curious to see what he is hearing on it. I still say - "eh" for us and MSU until otherwise.

    This is also a gut feeling, but I really don't see him choosing ND. I view Mich State as the primary competition at this point, followed closely by arbitrary national powerhouses. He doesn't seem to be the religious fanatic which often tips the scale for ND. Other than that, Michigan and ND are very similar academically and historically, our advantage being he grew up a fan and comes from the state of Michigan. I also like our chances with any recruit being pursued aggressively by Hoke

    Not baseless at all regarding Notre Dame. He has visited ND, and Malik's coach really likes ND and is trying to make them a major player for Malik. Will it matter, who knows but Malik has interest.

  • Well he himself told me it was Ohio St. and Michigan St. head to head and Michigan was right up there even though they haven't offered and that he really wanted a Michigan offer badly. Just going by what he, himself told me.

    Wait really? Shit, it looks like he's an MSU lock

    Not surprised though. His offer was pulled a few days ago. Hoke re-evaluated Malik and doesn't think he fits what the coaching staff is trying to do on defense.

    Because it is perfectly logically to think because a kid wore MSU stuff one day at practice that he will eventually to commit to them. (Ignoring he has also worn Michigan stuff during practices/camps).

    My goodness people need to get a grip. Malik has worn Michigan SWAG also to practices. Are we really basing decisions on what someone wears?

    Michigan and MSU have other schools to worry about.
