Because I made that remark based solely on his height....?

There is an awesome invention called a camera. It produces pictures. I have seen said pictures. His frame is evident

You're going off pictures? You can't go off pictures man, they can be so deceiving.

Doesn't look like he will add 20 pounds.

He hasn't even started his second half of high school. I highly doubt he will play in college, 3/4 years from now, at his current weight. He will naturally throw on a few more pounds and already appears to be a gym rat. I wouldn't be surprised if he plays at the 210-215 range in college, but regardless he will be adding more weight

20-25 pounds is a lot to put on, and if he does it will be muscle not height

If anything he may lose weight because his diet is completely different than it will be in college and I can guarantee you his muscle isn't lean.

  • I know it's really early and we haven't finished our 2013 class which could impact your answer, but what do you guys think the position breakdown will be like for the 2014 class, assume 18-20 spots?

    1 QB
    1 RB
    2 WR
    1 TE
    4 OL

    3 DL
    2 LB
    4 DB

for an 18 man class? Add another DL and another skill guy (RB/WR/TE) if it's a 20 man class?

I would take away a DL or DB and take two QBs, one top guy and a project. Other than that it seems pretty spot on.

At this point who knows. I think 20-22 spots in the class is far more realistic. With that said I will best guess with 21.

    2 QB
2 RB (depends on Green and who takes the first slot)
    3 WR
    2 TE
    4 OL

    3 DB
    3 DL
    2 LB

sounds about right if thats the class size.

My understand was that when recruiting elite talent (both Webb and Peppers are elite), the staff would use the rule of Michigan>Midwest>Country. goblue

    Exactly....

This looks right to me. Not sure we'll get to 21, though. Looks like we should have about available spots (Full 85 spots for the 2013 season minus 17 seniors and four RS JRs who haven't shown much. That 17 seniors does include Lewan and Toussaint, though). I guess 21 sounds about right, especially with attrition.

Are you looking at the same picture I am? Lose weight?

You don't look like that at fifteen years old if your diet is letting you down. The kid is clearly a gym rat, this day and age that comes with knowledge of supplements and nutrition. There are nutrition retail stores in almost every strip center. If he looks like that at fifteen, 20 lbs in two years is not a jump. I think Mattison might even see him at LB. If not definitely safety, that would be intimidating.

I'm saying his muscle mass may not be as lean as it will be when he gets into Michigan's strength and conditioning program.

  • I would have to say that Peppers will play safety in college Ed Reed 2.0 in Mattisons system

We have seen 215 lb corners before. As ling as he can play the position he can add weight. And by that picture it looks Like he has all good weigjt now. This kid is a beast. But I can see the concern. Linebacker may be in his future if he keeps adding muscle. Wow is all I can say. I would really like to see him at corner or free safety. He would be highly intimidating for receivers coming over the middle

I think a totally new, innovative position on defense will be created just for him. He's too good to play one of those boring positions that everyone else does

His versatility makes just about anything possible. I just think the best position for him is safety because it allows him to line up anywhere on the field and use his freakish athletic ability. Can you imagine Peppers ad Dymonte as your starting safeties?
