That is very interesting been away for a little while, but even if we are not in his top 4 right now there is a long time and I believe we will be there till the end. It will be interesting to see how we do in recruiting these elite players going forward.

I don't know where you heard that, but I almost guarantee it's not accurate. The last update with Peppers was two weeks ago when he said that Michigan is in his top group and he's planning to come here with his teammate for a game.
His very early, unofficial top 6 are Michigan, ND, Miami, Stanford, USC, and OSU

It's really too early to tell. We don't know from what classes the 5 spots are coming (only 20 open spots right now).

I know for a fact Jalen Tabor does not have us in his top group right now, so that could be who you are referring to. He is another top DB prospect.

Yeah, we have a few things working in our favor for Peppers too. I think if we offer WR Tyrone Washington (his teammate, Michigan fan) and if Peppers is serious about the med-school thing, then that should give us some advantage over the other teams.

Webb and Westphal to start the '14 class would be very comparable to Dymonte and JD from the '13 class... Peppers is more than likely going to take his time being such a high end DB recruit... I love how the Michigan offer is back to being in the upper echelon in kids eyes... I know RR got his share of decently rated kids but Hoke is landing guys with insane offer sheets... I wouldn't count Mario Ojemudia out as an elite Pass Rusher... Heard the name Brandon Jenkins from FSU alot when people compared his build and game.. I will take that every day

I think the beauty of a) our 2013 recruiting and b) Webb and Westphal in '14 is that if we can snag Webb and Westphal in a reasonable amount of time (as in, before they start their senior years), we have the freedom to just sit back and wait on Peppers. We'll have our DB recruiting practically done, so we can just save a "best-available" slot for Peppers. I'd love to have him commit early, but after 2012 and 2013, we don't have any ridiculous "need" positions, so we can afford to play the waiting game.
