Per Tremendous, keep an eye on Devine Redding from Ohio. Often elects to go beast mode in his vid:

Mineral Ridge, anyone know what kinda competition he's facing?

  • Whoa...Bo Scarbrough named Georgia his leader? Comes as a bit of a shock, it would seem.

This is good for us. It's a lot easier to pry him away without Alabama or Auburn as his leader.

Does this mean that Reuben Foster is going to switch to Georgia?

Agreed. I did see Auburn fans getting cocky because he was moving to Auburn high school or something (or maybe they made that up to troll Bama fans, I don't know).

Just seems Georgia came out of nowhere.

With Georgia getting Crowell and Keith Marshall in the last couple classes they may have figured out the pitch to land top RBs? And with Crowell gone, Marshall is going to play this year which means if they got Scarborough they could easily sell him on the fact it might be Marshall's last year before an NFL jump, if he plays up to his potential. Bama has TJ Yeldon who might be able to redshirt because of Lacy and Dee Hart, plus Tenpenny committed for 2013 and maybe even another top RB like Derrick Henry. So depth is definitely more attractive to Georgia.

This. I think Scarborough realizes that depth is absolutely an issue at Bama when they're bringing in Tenpenny, Tyren Jones, and probably Derrick Henry too, practically guaranteeing that at least 2 of those 3 see redshirts. Add that to a depth chart of Lacey, Hart, and Yeldon, and there just aren't any carries for Scarborough. He says he's willing to play anywhere to help his team, but this kid should be a RB, he'd be wasted as a slot receiver.

Also, despite the fact that Georgia has Todd Gurley and Marshall from 2012, with Crowell gone, neither will see a redshirt, and with Henry probably going to Bama, Georgia doesn't really have a top-flight RB in this class. On top of that, I'm sure Scarborough has seen the arrest problems at Georgia. It wouldn't be too ludicrous a bet to say that at least one more Georgia RB will be gone by the time Scarborough would set foot on campus.

  • ^ To add to that, wasn't Saban recruiting Scarbrough as a LB? (I recall that a few mentioned this on tBB.) Supposedly, Saban would give Scarbrough a chance to compete at RB but would move him to LB if it didn't work out.

At Georgia, he has a better chance at playing his preferred position.

Btw guys, his name is spelled Scarbrough and *not* Scarborough.

Georgia has already lost the running back of the future, so Bo will probably get a chance to contribute early there.

I laugh at all the cling-ons with the trite "bama lock" comments over the past month. Please prognosticate the most obvious things and let everyone know...thank you.

They signed Keith Marshall last year, didn't they? He was a 5*.

Yes, but Bo > Keith Marshall. He'd take starting job from him, imo.

UGA also signed Gurley this year. I think he is their future lead back..

It feels dirty, but I was thinking the same thing. He may say they are still in his top-3, but it must be a ND-Michigan battle now. No way he will pass up Michigan and Notre Dame to miss out on bowl games for 3 of his 5 years on campus, and then likely have a team so far down the ladder that the 2 bowls they can go to are low-tier Pizza-Pizza type games.

It does but i think that sealed it for us. I never put much into twitter but he's been saying he can't wait to meet Shane, Dawson, and LTT. Hoping he drops Saturday or Sunday
