  • I am sure everyone here saw the Ferns tweet recently. I will leave it at that. What do you think our chances are with him? 80-20? I really liked his film.

    I normally don't like guessing this far out but he wants to commit by this fall.
    Anything over fifty percent is awsome and I think its 70 percent on him.
    He likes psu, but his visit blew him away. So yeah I am pretty positive he is blue. And the kicker, the real selling point for him was his relationship with people who played for hoke!

    his next tweet was one to PSU commit Adam Breneman (spelling?) so i don't think that means all that much...That being said I do think it is a two team race between us and them...He didn't seem wowed by ND, but you never know.

  • Yup fursty, that is who I was referring to. Mr. Fe rns was raving about our staff before they stepped on campus. I'm pessimistic until a kid commits, but I feel very positive here. We are in great shape....but its not over yet

    Oh for sure not, Gedeon had a non-commitable offer and McCray will flip any min (just like Dymonte) but maybe Urbs will let us sneak in and take another LB that dun have sec speed lol

    I know you're being sarcastic, but since you brought it up, I figured I'd mention it so everyone is on the same page.

    There was no "slow-playing" or any "non-commitable offer" at any point on OSU's part IRT Gedeon. They liked him just as much as Anzalone and made a tremendous push to try and extend his process when it became clear he was getting close to committing to Michigan.

    They wanted him. We got him. They'll hype up Mitchell as an SEC-style speed freak and a testament to Urban's national recruiting prowess...fact is they missed on Gedeon, missed on Jaylon Smith, let Courtney Love slip right through their fingers, botched the recruitments of Anzalone and McCray, and will now take Plan F at linebacker. And they're already out for Ferns in 2014. If they're lucky they'll be able to reel in Dante Booker, who should be a layup since he loves OSU.

  • Seems to me like Michigan has a slight edge over PSU for Ferns, with ND in third. IMO it's close enough that his visits during the season will be the final deciding factor.

    He is visiting Michigan two more times I believe, for the BBQ at the end of July and for a game.
