Hey Steve thanks for the reply, I do remember Hoke saying he likes RBs because they are usually very "multiple" with their skill sets and positions they can play so if a recruit does not work out at RB they can usually find another spot. I think former Michigan LB Ian Gold was originally recruited as a RB and turned out to be outstanding as a LB. Either way I would like to find Ballage on this team!

Steve you can make the call if this is acceptable or not, but I saw this on tDuffy.
Drake Harris from TOS (talking to a Florida reporter):
"I have been talking to the Michigan coaches a lot, I talk to Florida's coaches a lot too," said Harris. "Ohio State and Notre Dame and have been in more contact. Georgia and also Alabama have been putting some pressure on me as well. I talk to these coaches on a weekly basis, sometimes even every day."
As strange as it may sound, Harris stated that while he may still be committed to Michigan State, he doesn't speak with the Spartans as much.
"I am talking to schools other than Michigan State a lot more," said Harris. "It is a soft verbal right now. I am finishing basketball season before I make any decision on what I want to do, so I don't know."

So, everyone knows how the bucknuts find ludicrous excuses as to why one of their prized recruits goes elsewhere. It can't be that another school is liked more than OSU, that just doesn't add up. Well, this year we are recruiting Kyle Berger, who we all know plenty about at this point. Let's just say Berger's interest in Michigan is as legitimate as it seems and somewhere down the line (would be in the relatively near future) he commits. What excuse will the bucknuts use this time?
Look no further. I present to you the 'Kyle Berger Excuse Thread' several months in advance. Now, more than ever, I want him to commit to Michigan.

I'm not convinced they will land any of their top LB targets, they all appear to have high interest in schools outside of OSU. . It sure will be interesting how this plays out and the bland justifications their fans try to provide if things don't fall in their favor.

Just wondering if anyone knows what happened to the kid Mattison brought in his first class. He wasn't a scholarship kid but was extremely strong and impressed Mattison. I think he had some sort of promise of a scholarship down the road if he worked out. I have not heard anything about this kid since back then. Anyone have an idea what happened to him? I can't even remember his name now.
