    He has always had the Louisville visit planned, that's why he isn't coming to visit us.

    IMO it says alot about his interest in Michigan. You do not visit when your two closet friends visit together ... on the same weekend trip?

    No they haven't. Cole has visited a few more schools than the other guys. It's nothing weird about a kid visiting another school.

    Perhaps he doesn't have UM high, or perhaps they are going about their recruitment the way they want. Who knows? But you can't assume his interest level just because he isn't coming, who knows what plans/ tickets were bought when

  • 2014 DE Malik McDowell texted me tonight to let me know that he may not be able to visit Ann Arbor this weekend. McDowell was involved in a minor car accident tonight. He ran across some black ice, slid off the road into some trees and a fence. McDowell was not hurt but his vehicle is out of commission. He told me they may try to get a rental car tomorrow so he can still make the trip.

  • Some notes from MGoBlog's Friday Recruiting article that I hadn't seen make their way in here:

    -Elijah Hood now has Michigan 4th, up from basically 6th last I heard.
    -Wilton Speight says that Joe Mixon has Michigan in his top 3
    -Bentley Spain has Michigan in his final 6 and wants to make a spring decision, so pray we can get him on campus.

    I agree. I really hope that they can find a way to keep Montgomery happy and in Ann Arbor.

    Give him a competitive raise, and then give out bonuses.....$50k if you beat Ohio, $25k if you win the division, $75k if you win the B1G championship game, $75k if you win a BCS bowl game etc.... These are payments that the athletic department should want to pay. Im sure these types of clauses exist, but Im unaware of them. I would allocate nearly $1M in bonuses for all the coaches adjunct to Hoke.

    Not sure on Mixon, I know he really wanted an offer from Boise.

    Hood has ND out front for sure, maybe UNC.

    No idea whatsoever on Mixon.

    Hood's original top-6 was, in order: ND, UNC, Clemson, Ohio, Georgia Tech, and us. If I had to guess, I'd say that we jumped Georgia Tech and Ohio. Not sure though, the link MGoBlog gave is broken.

    edit: did some googling, found the link. I was right. He has it as 1) ND 2) UNC 3) Clemson 4) Michigan 5) Ohio

    Mixon doesn't have a top three; it may have been Hilliman he was referring to by accident.

    Spain has had Michigan in his top six for a while; I believe he's supposed to visit for a spring practice, but Michigan has a lot of ground to make up with South Carolina.

    Hood's visiting the Big 3 in the Midwest this weekend - ND on Friday, us today, OSU on Sunday.

    Yeah, I heard this too. Also, he apparently met with Mike Stoops in Vegas this week...

    Michigan better come across with the cash to best OU's offer, if they dont it means we have troubles higher up that need addressed
