Give me D'andre Payne as another CB in this class. I know he's small at 5'9 but he plays much bigger then his height says I think. Has very good speed to from what the highlights show. The way he drives through the player when he tackles might be what I like the most

I don't think we have that good of a shot with him anyway. When was the last time a kid from instate flipped like that?

Harris seems to be looking for a reason to decommit and really likes Michigan. What happened last night sucks, but let's face it. We should have the better football season next year and it will be really hard for Harris to stay commited with another year of the Maxwell and Cook trying to throw the football.

He named us to a top 7 today, but FSU leads. Would definitely be a great pull though, would just be more M dominance in that VA/DC/MD region. The fact that he is shorter than what the coaches have typically looked for at CB says a lot about his skills too imo, a lot like JD Lewis from last class.

Why the hell would a basketball game between two teams in his junior year of HS impact his decision on where he is going to be playing football? It's been said often that one football game doesn't usually have a big impact on a kid's decision one way or the other, so why would a game in a different sport have any impact?

Michigan has always done well in the GR/West Michigan area - the only player from that area that I can remember in the past decade or so that chose to go elsewhere that had a Michigan offer was Rojo.

The same reason that when a recruit visits a college campus and attends a basketball or football game they get excited and commit.

It's all about the atmosphere. And we gave MSU a great opportunity to showcase a raucous crowd while slapping a beatdown on Michigan.

He's still technically committed to MSU, and being there last night definitely could have had an impact on his thought process.

Harris is not going to make his decision based on a single game, especially a basketball game.

Dang didn't know he had a true leader yet. FSU has been doing great in that region I feel like recently

    Who said that?

    Jesus.

It could have an impact , as it was an exciting atmosphere at a place he has already committed to.

but it was just a basketball game and he'll have tons of other racous environments. Do you think he'll still care about the atmosphere at a mid February bball game after he visits the atmosphere at UTL2 for example?

Also not that I put too much stock in it... but last night certainly couldn't have been good for our recruitment of Drake Harris.

We let the game get out of hand, and gave their crowd a chance to go crazy. Like I said... don't know how much it hurts if it does at all, but it certainly couldn't help.

Just curious, where did you see a top 7 for Payne?

FSU has done very well in that region and he did enjoy his trip there, not too surprised.

Any recent updates on Kalen Ballage?

He looks like a complete stud.

I wrote on Ballage a little over a week ago.

We weren't in on him first; he already held five offers, but we're the biggest offer on paper he has right now.
