I think him and Booker are all but guaranteed to end up at OSU.

Man I hope, I think Booker will be our first 2014 commit. Should happen sometime in January.

Naw you're good man, I wondered over here cause I'm bored and wanted to see who the enemy was looking at in Ohio. The kid is Lonnie Johnson, he kind of came out of nowhere. He was suppose to announce this Friday, but wants to wait for all the 2013 kids on his team to announce first.

Snodgrass, I believe has some grade issues to clean up. I also think that the Ohio State coaches feel like they are in good positions with better prospects and might be trying to buy some more time.

Ah, I see now. I just watched a little bit of Lonnie's film, and he looks solid. Very shifty. Nice find by Urbs.

Wiltfong thinks he could blow up this offseason, especially if he hits the camping circuit. Like I said, he kind of came out of nowhere.

  • Anyone notice that David Cornwell got a pretty big bump and is now graded at 96 and a top 60 player in the nation? Really hope he is one of the QB to earn an offer when they go out.

  • With Will Grier just dropping for UF, I'm anticipating a lot of QB activity in January/Febuary.

Coaches might wanna get their QB offering done immediately after the Outback Bowl.

  • Bryan Mone was rated a 93 overall and the 126th player in the top 247. The big suprise in the updated 247 has to be Damon Webb not being in it.

First of all what the hell was with the one game where it looks like both teams are wearing white!? One team looks like it might have been light grey, but still....

Also McKenzie is solid, but I watched him get shut down by the Quips in the WPIAL title game. Had 33 yards on 18 carries with a long run of 5 yards.

For 2014 Fournette is the easy #1 IMO. He's a freak.

Out of guys that we've shown interest in, or vise-versa here are my favorites:

    1) Jaled Hurd: An absolute stud. Physically similar to Ty Isaac, but looks quicker laterally, and maybe a touch faster.
    2) Jonathan Hillman: Not a super explosive guy, but perfect fit for B1G and still has sneaky speed for being a big back.
    3) Christian McCaffery: Super versatile athlete who runs and catches well. Has the frame to add weight and be a full time RB.

I love Hillman, Wilbon and McCaffery as well. There are clearly running backs I would love Fournette, Hurd, etc. I just am skeptical we would land them. No basis behind my skepticism but just am doubtful.

Wilbon, McCaffery and Hillman are my favorites though and I could see us landing them (especially Wilbon & Hillman).

I don't know if he ends up in Columbus, sounds like we are going to pull a wr out of Indiana in the not to distant future. I'd like to see us make a move for Kief, I think he is better than Snodgrass.

I'm hoping that the Michigan coaches will offer Kief. Soon.

I really really like his game. And I think he fits Michigan's pro-style better than Ohio's spread.

Here's what Steve W. posted recently about Kief:

Derek Kief, WR, Cincinnati (Ohio) LaSalle – Cincinnati, Illinois, Indiana and Iowa have already offered the 6-foot-5, 185-pound Kief, who at 6-foot-5, 185-pounds has the size and ability to become a nationally recruited receiver. Michigan is the team to watch for Kief as he is high on the Wolverines.

Who are the future blue-chippers in the Midwest? Several prospects have already emerged including Detroit (Mich.) Loyolas Malik McDowell.

Since it has been reported that the coaches plan on offering 4-5 QB's and plan on taking 1-2, who does everyone feel the 4-5 could be?

I was thinking Cornwell, Tyler Wiegers, Andrew Ford, Chance Stewart and One of the following 4 (Caleb Henderson, Adam Bertke, Brent Lyles or Luke Ward). I feel the coaches are extremely high on Wiegers and Ford. Or they could keep it local and go with Wiegers and Stewart.

(There's always Jeff George Jr. Or Randall Cunningham, haha)

    BMirz3

  • I hope the 4 are:

David Cornwell (Everyone's favorite by far)
Caleb Henderson (Are grades an issue or is Sparty just hurt that he hasn't committed yet)
Andrew Ford (Great pocket presence, accuracy)
Drew Barker (Todd thinks we are highly interested and he throws a really nice deep ball)

I am not high on Stewart though, he just doesn't look like a natural thrower. The other four show some good mobility as well

I also am a fan on Kief. Think what separates him from some other tall WRs is that he has speed to go with it.

Really really want Cornwell in the class. I'd be happy if we got Cornwell/Wiegers.

  • I'm hoping for a combination of Cornwell (my top choice) and Wiegers.

Of course, Cornwell and Henderson would be awesome as well but I just don't see that happening.

  • This is who I'd like our 2014 WR's to be, and we actually have an excellent shot at all 4:

    Derek Kief
    Mo Ways
    Corey Holmes
    Artavis Scott

Snodgrass seems like a beast too. Perfect fit for Urb's system imo.

Something fishy with him, he's tried to commit to ND and OSU and has been turned away from both schools.

Fournette is head and shoulders above everyone else, obviously but LSU isn't letting him leave the state. Notice how they haven't and won't sign any RB's in this years class?

Some film of Kief if any of you guys haven't seen him. He should surge up the rankings, especially if he hits the camp circuit. I hope Coombs can use his Cincinnati leverage to keep us in play for him

He's a DB with an early offer from LSU. That alone is enough for me.

  • Honestly, I watched Lawrence Marshall's film and I'm not that impressed by him. To me, he doesn't seem very quick off the line and he doesn't have very good block shedding ability. He's obviously got tons of time to improve, but as of know I don't see the big deal about him.

There have been rumors of Harris decommitting because he's thinking of focusing on football in college, and if so, wants to go to a better football school. I will die laughing if that happens.
