Just a general comment, just because you are under 6ft doesn't make you a slot WR. Calvin Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald are examples of WRs over 6ft who frequently line up in the slot to expose matchups. Desean Jackson and Steve Smith are a few of many WRs under 6ft who line up on the outside. Gallon lines up in the outside. Just saying, don't just assume he is a slot guy because of his height, coaches wouldn't recruit a WR just for the slot anyway, it's clear they like guys that are versatile. There's nothing that suggests chesson or jones couldn't play the slot. clearly they like Scott because he is a damn good WR prospect and we should leave it at that.

From the article on here today, I get the feeling as though Tommy Doles may be close to pulling the trigger with Michigan. I would love this! Not only is he a solid player with a good head on his shoulders but hopefully this could cause a domino effect with some of the other top o-lineman. Since we are in the running with many of the top prospects this could help some of them speed along the process to ensure a spot. For 2014, I'd love it if we ended 2012 with commitments from Ferns, Ward, Doles, Mason Cole and Artavis Scott...that would be an incredible start to the class.

I know the bad recruiting news is getting old at this point, but some Mikale Wilbon quotes from a site that shall remain nameless:
"To be honest I think Ohio State will be the first to offer between the two. I talked to Coach Vrabel a lot and the running back coach likes me. At Michigan it feels like no one is interested. "
"I use to love Michigan when I was younger. I always wanted to go there and play Michigan ball, but after that visit it kind of made me not like them as much. They are really showing my teammate Jamarco Jones more love. We visited together and one coach thought I was his cousin and not a recruit. I came to visit and an offer didn't come so I felt like I'm not good enough or something. I feel like the visit didn't go very well."
One would think Michigan was stocked with RB. I just don't understand.
