USC is now a serious threat to you guys. Better hope distance is a issue here.

I'm not sure he even follows through on the second visit. We'll see.

  • Solid article on Sebastian Laure by Sam Webb. Laure compared his return game skills to those of Desean Jackson, who interestingly enough was coached in his final 2 years at Cal by Dan Ferrigno, Larues primary UM recruiter. Maybe there is more synergy with this recruit then previously thought?

Yeah, I caught that when it came out, good read.

The pessimism on this site is pitiful. Its pathetic, I'm not saying we should believe we will get everyone, but its amazing how a rumor abt Isaac visiting USC has fans thinking UM ( the team that beat out the presumed fav of ND) now in the rear view. I'm starting to think you guys are the fans who overreact with tweets to commits when they say something on Twitter. Just let the process play out,

If you'd rather have "passive aggressive delusional" hang out at the bucknuts board.

Not too concerned. Don't think Isaac will commit to USC this early in the process, even if the second visit plans materialize. Among other things, he's very comfortable comfortable with the Michigan program (other commits, coaches, etc.) and another USC trip isn't going to even things up that quickly.

So then these are the tea leaves:

    Today - M leads
If he visits usc in May - we're even
If he delays his decision - USC leads
If he takes an official - we're toast

I'm inclined to think that we'll maintain at least a slight lead if he visits USC again. Didn't this news of him visiting USC next month and deciding come after our coaches visited his school yesterday? Not sure what that may indicate but it's interesting at the very least.

I'd have to disagree. Even if this isn't the end of the world, it sure sprung open the door to the unwanted end result. There are a whole spectrum of possibilities now. He could commit on the spot to USC, or he could come back and Go Blue in a couple days.

  • Best case scenario is, he's just turning over every rock here. I think his father said in an interview with Sam Webb the most important thing was being sure it's the 'right' decision, and how he regretted that he didn't make sure when he chose college. If you followed Ty Isaac's recruitment so far, first he said being comfortable with the coaches and teammates was the deciding factor. Next it was the depth chart and a chance for early playing time. Finally, before the latest round of visits to ND, UM, and USC, it was the offensive system and schemes that he would play in. My point is Isaac seems intent on being very, very thorough with the process, perhaps to the extent that some might say he's overdoing it.

So if that's the case, it could be that he's just making sure UM is the right choice before committing and he wants to take one last look at USC. But this could go both ways. It could be he's already sold on USC.

  • A lot of us were fine taking Deveon Smith ONLY, remember when we thought Isaac wanted to be the only back? Whatever happens, we'll all be happy.

  • I told you all way back that USC is not some new shiny toy. They have some of the best in the business when it comes to recruiting. Ogeron is notoriously good. Still would NEVER trust my kid with Lane Kiffin. USC wouldn't be doing their job if they couldn't secure an official. If his parents are ROJO type...he gone

  • So does Levenberry to FSU make it more likely Gibbs gets an offer? I hope so...

That, and/or it opens up a spot for more needed positions, or more highly regarded recruits

I hope so too, as long as it doesn't effect the recruitment of Poggi and Augusta.

  • Another Tweet from Fuller confirming he is coming back up to visit.

  • Not surprised but still happy to see Michigan fans being class acts over on the blue board about E.J. Levenberry. Something that ohio fans no nothing about. If we were them then the excuse would be we pulled his offer, or he sucks we don't need him. Glad we hold ourselves to a higher standard!! goblue

Well, this definitely makes me feel better. I would've like Levenberry, but if there's one position we can miss out on, it's LB. I'd MUCH rather have Fuller.

Yeah, there's one page where 5 or 6 Michigan guys are congratulating FSU while Bucknuts are talking censored about Hoke. I feel like that's just an accurate microcosm of the fanbases.

Man, he could visit a half dozen times over the summer and I would still consider him a VaTech lean.

We are done at linebacker, then, right? If not, does the door to O'Daniel open back up?

I am probably the only person on this site who feels this way but i would of liked another LB in this class. I think Hoke dropped the ball on the O'Daniel recruitment without Levenberry being a lock. If we miss on or have attrition at LB our depth will suck. We had a chance to load up and have some serious competition at all the LB spots which is more likely to lead to having elite starters emerge.
