    I love Isaac, but we need Treadwell much more. I want both, but if I was forced to choose I'd pick Treadwell first.

    Anybody know if we have a legit chance with Larue? Word is coaches want two more WRs if they have room and wouldn't mind Larue and Treadwell. After watching film of Larue he shot to the top of my list.

    I think we have a real shot at one of Sebastian LaRue and Devon Allen. IMO it will depend on what USC and Oregon do. USC has limited schollies and has good depth at WR. They also just landed Massington, so I think they might end up out of the picture entirely. But both LaRue and Allen would be perfect in Oregon's offense, so if they offer it might be hard to pull them from the West Coast. If Oregon doesn't offer, Oklahoma and OSU are rumored to be the early leaders for Allen (though don't count out RR at Arizona) and Sam Webb had a piece on LaRue a week or so ago in which it sounded like we would have a real shot if we offer.

    Much rather have Larue then Allen. Little concerned about the "if we offer" part. If that's the case I have to assume that the coaches are dead set on nothing but big bodied WRs.

    I like them both. And I wouldn't read too much into the lack of UM early offer. The coaches might have been waiting to see what happened with Massington. And the miss on Levenberry frees up a scholly (our #s are tighter than many people seem to think). I think you might see an offer go out soon to LaRue, especially if we land Treadwell. That will give us two tall receivers in both the 2012 and 2013 classes and LaRue would make a nice slot/ST player with speed.

    Edit: I misspoke above. LaRue already has an offer.

  • I like LaRue a bit more than Allen. We'd have to do a lot to get either one, though. I could see LaRue opting to go to a lesser school like UCLA to stay in California. Don't think Ohio has any real advantage with Allen, but I think he could stay a bit closer to home and attend Oklahoma. They could probably sell him on being the next Broyles, a very productive college receiver with similar size. They've also had a recent history of solid QB play. As always, we'll see how things change when/if they visit.

  • I'd be happy with either Larue or Allen. Allen is certainly the faster of the two, but Larue looks quicker/burstier side-to-side. The other thing is Allen might almost be too fast - he could easily choose to focus on track and become a professional. Obviously, if thats the biggest worry, I'm okay with it. goblue

    According to Trieu on Twitter, C'Sonte York is visiting Ann Arbor today. He just did very well at the NFTC combine in Columbus and the Sparties have been pretty confident that they could get him if they offered... wonder how the visit goes today.

    I kinda hope not. I don't know if I can put up with five years of Braylon bitching about how Berkley never sees the field.

    I also hope not, but for different reasons - I don't see why a Treadwell commit should make Hoke back off on recruiting WRs. I like Berkley Edwards, but I don't really see how he fits into the team's plans - I'd rather take another WR who might actually see the field, and TBH, I'd rather have Chavas Rawlins than Edwards.

    I don't see how Edwards gets an offer. Preferred walkon if he wants to come here. Technicly only two spots left, obvious 5th year guys not coming back stretches that to 3 spots. Of course there will be some attrition but we are still talking about a limited number of spots.

    Yeah, that statement about Braylon was tongue in cheek, but I agree with you 100%.
