That would mean pulling a schollie or someone not qualifying. There isn't any way around the 18 outside the whole Redd thing.

Greyshirt or Straight Walkon is the only way. And with USC being a private school it's not like their tuition is cheap. Id be shocked if a top kid wanted to pay $30k for a year while other kids got a full ride.

Just saw that. Wow, I would love to hear the reason as to why he dropped from a 247 evaluator. Ive been getting pretty disappointed in how they rank some recruits. For example Lewis, and Dawson. Butt a three star? Is this a joke? I love this message board but 247 rankings mean nothing to me. They have Jacob matuska ranked #7 TE and Butt #12. I saw matuska play, while he is a good ball player he's not even in the same ball park as Butt. He is a good blocker but that's really about it.

Until the B10 starts beating the snot out of the SEC on a regular basis, the B10 is seen as less viable than the SEC. AL game can start changing this perception. If we can get MSU, Wisconsin, and OSU to schedule SEC games, we can start to make a dent. MSU beating GA last year was awesome.

At the end of the day who cares, none of this is an exact science and these sites all have their biases they just won't ever admit it. Whether it's because a kid is more media friendly to them ie giving interviews and updates on their recruitment regularly(Yes, this matters a lot) or if they play in their respective region. That is why you have to look at the composite rankings(All sites) and offer lists. Better gauge of what type of prospect they are, but again none of this is an exact science.

Ive heard that as well. I watched his team play Maty Mauk's team last year in the playoffs. I didn't know who Matuska was but he def stuck out. He was bigger then any of his teams Oline. It's not a surprise though considering he plays div 4 ball which is pretty dang small. Matuska dropped the game winning touchdown catch and they lost to Mauk's team. He really seemed awkward at trying to catch the ball, natural run blocker though. Not that it matters but Maty Mauk was very impressive. Not really a pro style guy but i would have taken him in a heart beat.
