Jake Butt's updated highlights. He is going to be a great target for Shane Morris.

Am I the only one that hear's Keith Jackson saying "Hello Heisman!" every time I see a post from HelloHeisman21?

    +1 just because

One of the most underrated players in our class. Ohio is going to regret letting him get away. IMO.

2 things. First i love the combination of his blocking ability and his pass receiving. Looks like a complete TE. Second, I really hope Borges will explore the way New England uses their TEs and we can do some of those things with Butt, Funchess and the rest of our TEs.

going to #washington this weekend for the spring game

This may be the recruiting highlight of the weekend. Genuinely interested in hearing the post-visit reaction for the sake of entertainment.

I would have preferred that Shane meet with the Alabama coach(es) out of courtesy and then politely but firmly tell the Alabama representative(s) that he is "Fully committed to Michgan and, therefore, not interested in anyone else."

I think that would have been the best way to go about handling this situation.

With the reports of how persistent Alabama can be w/ notes and calls, he may have been turned off by them before they ever came to his school.

In fairness its all apart of the process; we had no issues pursuing Dunn last yr.

I dissagree with the negative perception many posters seem to spread regarding Joe's changing of leaders. If you read Sarah's interview of Joe, he spent much more time with Nebraska that he did with Michigan. How he decribed his change was much more reasonable than everyone makes this out to be. Let's please be more respectful of these kids and the tough decisions they have to make. Let's also be good and respectful ambassadors of UofM.

Honestly curious to hear what he says after the visit to gauge things. His interest has been up and down with four different programs (Washington being one of them) and this trip will let us know if he's comfortable sticking with one program after visiting another. No disrespect to Joe, it's simply an interesting situation to monitor.

I think it's quite different. Dawson is not a regional talent, hasn't shown interest in Florida, and is not looking to leave the school he committed to because of coaching changes. Don't really care how Florida chooses to use their recruiting resources, though. As long as they're not doing money handshakes or lending Corvettes, I'm fine.

What was the reason Dawson moved back up to Michigan from Texas?

Its not different, if you are an elite talent no team that really wants you, regional or national, would stop recruiting you in APRIL, its just too early and things can change. Do you think Hoke will stop recruiting Levenberry? Recruiting doesn't stop once a kid commits; that goes for teams on the outside and the team that the kid committed to. UF clearly has resources in MI since they already snagged Dillard. Its just part of the game, luckily we have kids committed that are completely sold on UM and the coaches so we as fans should not blink because top tier schools want our commits, if anything its flattering.

Was merely pointing out that there were certain factors present when Michigan pursued Dunn that are not in play with Dawson and Florida.

If there isn't a gentlemans agreement within the B1G there sure as hell isn't one between conferences.

I know, not arguing that point. The comment I made was solely in regards to the differences between the two recruitments.
