    I'm really not impressed by him. He's the kind of kid where I'd be ok with him going to OSU. He's obviously athletically talented, but when the pads come on that doesn't matter. Guys like Desmond Morgan (not as athletic but has football sense) do much better than guys like Mitchell.

    FWIW, growing up in Plano, I know his level of competition and it's ok, not great. The private school leagues aren't nearly as strong as the 5A competition.

    And I dont know about you guys but I'm happy schools like Florida are going hard after Dawson this proves we have top tier talent and worthy of our lofty class ranking. I also think it shows that Dawson for himself wants to compete against the best.

    I love what a competitor he is, kid is just gona keep gettin better and better

    Yeah he plays in what I believe they call TAAPS. Opposite of most northern states Texas public schools produce much better competition then TAAPS or prep/private schools in the state. Great athlete not sure that always translates to great football.

    I've been following recruiting for a long time, and I honestly can't remember the last prospect like Morris. Not his physical skills but his intangibles. He's so likeable and such a great instinctive leader. Exactly what you want to see in a QB. Even commits from OSU and ND love him. This class has gravitated around him in a way that I haven't seen since Henson.

    I played at a school that plays Prestonwood and I also played at a 5A school, the competition is night and day. A star on a school like Prestonwood would most likely be just another solid player on a 5A team. Correct, any public school in Plano or the DFW area from 3A to 5A would most likely beat Prestonwood. The DFW area 5A and 4A schools are some of the best competition in the state.

  • To change the subject from the opening for a bit.... FSU picked up their third WR commit today. With Bailey being somewhat of a lean to their, it will be interesting to see if he speeds up his time table or eventually misses out. I'm not sure who their other WR targets are, but I would have a hard time thinking they take 5...Could potentially work in our favor if thing with Treadwell don't go exactly as planned.

    I played at Plano West, my senior year I played safety and WR. We had a lead in every single game but barely snuck into the playoffs because we couldn't ever hold a lead. My worst memory was meeting Rex Burkhead in the hole and getting trucked over for 5 yards. lol

    Treadwell will be deciding between this weekend and next week. Unless Bailey moves his timeline WAY up, he may be shutout.

    TJB saw kalambayi's coach and had a few minute visit with him. Apparently he really wanted to be a wolverine. He said we were the entire package but eventually settled on the academics at Stanford.
    I'll assume our coaches new they could have had him but really liked the guys we had. Kalambayi is a great looking player, so that says a lot about gedeon and mccray. But you almost wish we had a spot for a player that really wants to play for you
