    Up for some theories as to why we were looking for a third CB a week and a half ago but are now only looking at Fuller.

    I think you first have to look at the 2 CBs we currently have committed. Both are seriously underrated, Lewis just showed out on both sides of the ball this past weekend, he's a corner in the mode of dare I say Deion in the way he can shadow and bait the QB then making a play. Then you take Conley who the coaches are extremely high on and is considered by a good amount of folks as the best cover corner in OH. Given that, and given the pressing needs at other positions (DL, WR), and other elite players we would like to bring in (Cravens, Isaac, Fuller) I'm sure the coaches may have said we only really need another CB if he's at the top of our board, a no brainer guy.

    You're right, it's relative to his recruitment and should be discussed if someone reliable can get some further info on it. Hopefully Todd gets some good info regarding the situation. Had a few upvotes left so you got them.

  • FWIW from some of my USC friends, Mathis does have some qualifying issues but it's not that he can't accomplish throughout his senior year. Most of the USC fans that I know are confident that he'll qualify.

    That will not happen, only reason he is allowed to visit he is teammates with Kyle Kali's and lives in Ohio. If he lives far away he would have been told to save his money.

    What happens with Leon McQuay III next month? He's going to be at ND next month and his dad said they want to visit UM and Duke as well.

    Very plausible. But there is one loose end that this explanation doesn't cover, and it's why the coaches were recruiting CBs up until a week ago. If it was just numbers, as you say, then the coaches should have said no thanks to Cameron Walker and Devin Butler as soon as Conley committed. But they didn't. Butler visited, and they were recruiting Walker hard up until very recently. That means something changed a short while ago and there's a good chance we'll never know what it was.

    Exactly.....I'm interested to see if some LB, or any CB dominoes fall this weekend.

    My theory is simple. I heard on another site that Tamani Carter is back practicing with the team and as a result we can assume his 'admistrative issues' have been cleared up. The timing of his return IMO is the reason we no longer have a spot for that extra CB.

  • Or maybe they seen Lewis's performance and feel comfortable only taking two CB unless and elite guy like Fuller wants to commit.

    havent heard anything about him in a while was also wondering about Quick I know he plays multiple sports but has anyone heard anything on him would really like to get him also heard that Foster wants to take two more unofficials to Michigan and Alabama then hes going to shut it down till he figures out his officials we will see what happens

    He got the Ohio offer so I think he'll end up there. Not sure if Michigan should even offer, we're in good position with Josh Augusta and I think he's better.

    Edit: Assuming that we're looking at Augusta on DL.

    Quick recently scheduled 2 visits 1 to tOSU and the other to Louisville. That's all I've seen on Quick.
