Honestly, I think we're done. Sounded like Smythe's ND visit went really well this weekend, so I think even if he doesn't get admitted to Stanford, we're behind ND for him.
I also can't think of another recruit that we'd target with that last scholarship. At this point, just bank it. I have a feeling 2014 is going to be a special, special class.

I'm going to say a bad word....Laquon Treadwell.
I was thinking about this Saturday, when we got D.Green. I thought how even more awesome this class would have been if we had nabbed Treadwell as well. So what Happened?
The way I see it, we were leading and he got away. IIRC at one point he said he wasn't feeling the UM love from the coaches.
IMO I think Hoke and Co. are looking for certain types of kids to really bring back quality Michigan Men back to the program. Much like Yuri Wright, I think LT's behavior on the social media kind of had them backing off a bit. He seemed to be loving the spotlight and it was about ego stroking. The whole video with Sam Webb before the Opening at the airport had everyone thinking he was moments away from committing. Maybe they reached out at that point and he still fed them the taking his time thing.
You look at a kid like Green and the way he handled himself throughout the process. Quality. Something about Treads turned off our coaching staff, by his own words that he hadn't heard from them in awhile.
If you want be apart of what Hoke is building you dont play games. We only want people who want to be Wolverines to play here.
What say you?

I think we fooled ourselves into thinking that we had a better chance than we ever did.
As awesome as it would have been to get Treadwell (we'd have a top-5 QB, RB, and WR in one class...holy balls), I think he was really just looking for reasons not to go to Michigan once Standifer didn't qualify. I think we all underestimated the bond between those two. For someone to visit one school at least half a dozen times, name them the leader for months and still not commit, I have to imagine that they're just in a holding pattern looking for something else that appeals to them more.
While I think our coaches may have backed off a little bit, everyone knows WRs are divas. I don't think our coaches would turn down a talent like Treadwell just because he hogged the spotlight. If anything, I think Treadwell's desire to find a reason NOT to go to Michigan led him to inflate his sense of "not feeling the love" from the coaches.

I live in the south and this morning on the radio here locally it did say that him and his father were in the Tuscaloosa area but is was not for a visit. Whoever was on the radio basically said that Poggi is still a Michigan lock thats where he wants to go and all the Bama message boards and media should just accept the fact. Just re laying what was on the the radio this morning.

Green is considerably better than Elliot, so I definitely wanted the Green commitment more, but this would be hilarious.
I'm monitoring the local news like Rico, I know a bunch of people here who would be incredibly happy if he stayed home. Hopefully DGB can also sway him - when the best recruit in the country stays home at Mizzou, it means something.
