2013 Recruiting Hotlist

I am not worried about what the rankings say... I am more impressed with offer sheets and passing the eyeball test... Omameh is not a power OG and looks terrible getting out into space... He peaked 2 years ago... Barnum is oft injured and is small... Again looks terrible pulling.. Mealer was dealt a crap hand and has worked his butt off but you wonder how much everything that happened took a toll on his body... That shoulder was shredded... Barnum was the only one of the 3 with impressive offers and UF stopped talking to him late which made him turn away... I don't care too much what Mike Farrell or other "recruiting gurus" say, I will trust what D1 coaches say with offers.

Yes, because Mike Hart, Le'Veon Bell, Braylon Edwards, etc. were all highly recruited and showered with offers coming out of high school...please sense the sarcasm.

Stars don't always translate into stardom but neither does the number of "offers" a player receives.

I just don't think most of the ND fanbase realizes that they were gifted two wins by the refs, and they were one play away from losing to any of us, BYU, Purdue, and Pitt. This isn't like Bama losing to A&M on a goal-line pick or barely beating LSU, another top 10 team.

I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility for them to get pulverized. They haven't faced an NC-caliber defense all year.

That Stanford TD they scored in OT that wasn't called was BS....but what was the other win the refs aided in?

Pitt, PI call and no call on the double jerseys during the missed fg

Staff has in-home visits with Derrick Green and Leon McQuay III this week. Still not getting my hopes up on either, and also Green sounds like his decision will come soon.

D.GREEN #⃣2⃣7⃣ ‏@BrOoKyLn_boii27 “@Diezel75_: When you plan on making that decision bro @BrOoKyLn_boii27 ?” Soon

Green seems excited about the in-home visit:

I have been watching the Twitter action from him. I am hoping his 'soon' equates to a decision in the next few weeks. Maybe he gives the green light privately to the coaches, but holds publicly till some later time.

Good for us. I am less concerned on this front now.

  • It always takes some luck to go undefeated and every team that goes undefeated always has at least one game they don't deserve to win but find a way. Congrats on ND and ohio going undefeated.

You were very pessimistic before, have you changed your gut feeling now?

  • I think I read somewhere not long ago that LMIII wanted to be an early enrollee wherever he decided to go. True??? If so his decision must be coming up pretty soon. Maybe I dreamt it. It shows that I don't have a real life if I'm dreaming about recruiting.

No. I went from 60-40 us, to a 50-50 split on DG. I am pessimistic on LT. I feel good on LM III.

Mike Hart had an offer from The U when they were the best team in the country and producing McGahee, Portis, Gore in a 2 year span, so that comment doesn't hold much weight... Pretty sure Braylon played a lot of basketball in HS and did nothing in the offseason for football... You could tell he was a stud when he stepped on the field.

Can someone please explain to me how someone that censored'ing big is that censored'ing agile and athletic?!?!?!!? Holy censored!!!!!!

The first two highlights showed him getting after the QB basically unblocked, and all I could think of was 'please tell me thats not what this whole highlight tape is ... and then BOOM! Chasing down rb's, and qb's and literally BUSTING through OLines and wrecking nothing but havoc!

I'm sure that the level of competition in Massachusetts isn't the best, but he looks really quick off the ball especially from the one tech. Every play he starts in that position he totally blows the whole backfield up. goblue

I had not seen this one. Does this open the door for LM III?? Hmm .....

I have never quite understood USC's scholly numbers. Even the USC fanbase doesn't seem to know for sure how many kids they can take this year. If they have room, going after McQuay to replace Redfield certainly is a possibility.

  • FSU's DC just got hire as the HC at Kentucky. Could help us with McQuay.
