Regular season is over and I would hope the coaches are hitting the road Monday to stop by some schools... Need some sort of playmakers in this class on offense... The team has very little impact players on offense... Maybe they will use Funchess a little more next year

Its more of the 2014 kids and beyond. Core 6's influence has grown since this crop of kids has blown up.
EFT is a gym that is going to actively compete with them going forward. If they would have had a group last year, Diamond would have ended up at Michigan. He almost did, but we all know what happened with Auburn...
Michigan and ND especially arent going to get caught up. The guys at EFT know Hoke and Brian Kelly well already, and know how they operate. Kelly especially knows them from NFL combine training. A few ND guys have trained there already. Michigan has an in as well with a few former players connected to the gym.

For some reason, the coaches seemed to have "cooled" on Treadwell. They most likely figure that he has visited multiple times and knows what he's getting from Michigan.
They know Treads loves the attention and are most likely looking at different options. The Treadwell ship has set sail about a month ago when we really cooled on him.
The best shot we have is with McQuay and it's a pretty good shot. Derrick Green is finding every other reason not to play in any conference but the SEC.
Conley is as good as gone as well. It's going to be a depressing time till NSD, as we will just try and hold the players we have and try and keep them committed.

The thing I'm worried about the most is all of these lineman we have red-shirted. I hope they are much more talented then the current crew, because our OL has been bad to terrible. Some of our better recruiting position coaches have not impressed this year with their coaching of the positions. Rb, OL, are the most noticeable IMO.

Coaching can only take you so far with the level of talent. All of the OL on the field were recruited to play the spread and they were not exactly high 4-5 stars. Then smith is a small spread back and Rawls was a 3 star late offer. Last yr we had denard and fitz both over 1000 yrds, was the coaching unimpressing then?

I think that the biggest factor of why the offensive line is not quite as good as last year is the leadership that David Molk provided at center last year with his talent and his knowledge of defenses and coordinating the blocking schemes by calling them out before the snap. I believe that we have the same amount of talent this year and going forward but we just need that "general" on the line and that is best handled by a center that can see the whole line (as opposed to a tackle trying to take charge by looking the whole way down to the opposite side).

This isn't last season. The offensive lineman that RR recruited did a much better job last year. Why is that? Yes the team had two 1,000 yard rushers last year, is this year development? Where is the logic in that?
Logic tells me they should be better than last year or at least in the same range. I don't get it
