2013 Recruiting Hotlist

  • We have a HUGE weekend here guys.

LTT is not likely to leave.

Treads. Tired of the kid to be honest. Love his talent but there has to be a reason coaches have backed off ( if this is the case) we win Saturday that could sway him back to michigan. As long as he ain't at Ohio I don't care.

Dawson. Bye bye kid. Tired of him as well. He destroyed his chances.

Fans need to be watching and catching up on highlights of kids that are coming and staying.

Can't wait until Saturday going to be either a bad birthday or a great one for me!!

  • nah in regards to Westphal...Bolingbrook's OL caoch is connected to Core 6 and is a great dude. Plus, Todd Howard being out there is huge...

Stuff about how kids get to and from tourneys, gear, etc. There is another training group that is about to spring up in the Chicagoland area to compete with Core 6 because of it.

The cats who run Core 6 are getting a little too involved with recruiting and what not...

And not pertaining to Michigan, but Aaron Bailey from Bolingbrook, who is a nice dal threat QB, is going to end up at Northwestern with Matt Aliviti. Should be a nice QB combo for Pat Fitgerald. Wish Michigan could sneak in another QB in this class. Our QB scenario is scary.

Thank you for sharing this. But frankly I'm not surprised by this news.

The AAU culture has been dirty for years. It's just unfortunate that one of the stronger teams/programs in the North couldn't remain clean. I was hoping that the Core 6 program would become a pipeline for Michigan.

However, it's good news if others are starting up. These programs are important in closing the talent gap between the north and the south. Folks will often talk about how football is year-round in the south. Programs like Core 6 provide northern recruits with indoor facilities plus supplemental coaching.

    ---

And it seems that Tim Beckman's career at Illinois is about to rival Randy Edsall's start at Maryland.

"just so all the fans know, Michigan was the only school who did not attend our banquet. Go Bucks!"

    LoL, how ghey

Core6 needs to be looked into. Seems like they push OSU hard, nothing wrong with training kids, but when you become a player in a kids recruitment then something needs to be looked into.

    Is CG leaning towards them?

My own personal opinion, is he's being pushed that way. I don't think CG is as huge a lean to OSU as he once was. He's going to be enticed by the SEC and USC. I can think of a lot of other kids at Core6 being led to OSU. I'd be willing to bet ^^^this is Core6 5 or 6 time at OSU. Be willing to bet they haven't been to any other schools more than 3 times. Becoming a very shady training program that actively recruits kids from the Midwest and other regions. I've seen them pursue Booker and Stringfellow out of OH and Barker out of Kentucky.

    Yes.

McMillan is the key here. He's a huge OSU lean and stays in contact with a lot of kids that are seriously considering OSU. Garrett and UGA DB commit being 2 of his biggest targets.

  • It's gonna be COLD on Saturday and bet that effects some of the Southern kids. High of 38 with a 10 or so mph wind.

I was assuming Clifton Garrett, considering the talk of Core6

  • Don't like the sound of Core6 at all... Have to wonder if LTT was been talked away from Michigan for their lack of interest in those kids now... Proud of the coaches if they feel its getting ugly with Core6 and pass on some elite talent... These 7on7 teams are getting more ridiculous and need to be controlled... Dont care what school it benefits, it will only harm the kids who are being played and sold by these 7on7 "coaches"

    jnewberg24

  • Its more of the 2014 kids and beyond. Core 6's influence has grown since this crop of kids has blown up.

EFT is a gym that is going to actively compete with them going forward. If they would have had a group last year, Diamond would have ended up at Michigan. He almost did, but we all know what happened with Auburn...

Michigan and ND especially arent going to get caught up. The guys at EFT know Hoke and Brian Kelly well already, and know how they operate. Kelly especially knows them from NFL combine training. A few ND guys have trained there already. Michigan has an in as well with a few former players connected to the gym.

  • I have a feeling that Dawson will be wearing a winged helmet next fall.

    jnewberg24

  • I dont think he will. Kid cant seem to help himself on twitter and with some of his comments to reporters for other teams. He made a decision that I am sure he regrets, but his youthful pride and ego drives him too much. As we all saw last year, these kids twitter accounts and statements matter alot.

    roo2452

  • What exactly did core 6 that was bad? Its not like they covered up a gun smuggling operation, or the death of a US ambassador.

  • like I posted earlier...its alot of grey area stuff that we would never know about, but college coaches do. gear, rides to and from camps, camp payments, sterring kids, etc.

I don't know about the grey area stuff yet, so I guess I will just wait to see what comes out before making an assumption (as we all know this has been happening in college basketball for years).

As far as the "coach" of a 7-on-7 team influencing players, I am not as upset considering that happens all of the time (and isn't really "frowned" upon). I mean Michigan fans are hoping that Todd Howard can help with Parker Westphal and Wilcher with the CT kids. So, I can't complain there. That is the the coaches job to get in well with the high school and 7-on-7 coaches and build relationships.

It's different when you are telling a kid about your alma matter, as opposed to a guy steering kids to programs for other "reasons".

Also Wilcher has shown that he gives his kids an unbiased opinion and wants them to go to the best place for them individually.

Whats the big deal with gear and rides? Are you suggesting the adults only give rides to certain places, and only certain gear? They can do what they want. If a HS kid wants to visit a certain school, and someone not in their family tells them no, then that kid needs to re-asses things and tell that person to GTFO

  • Well, the Michigan and ND coaches think its a big deal. Dont get mad at me my man. Some shady ish is going on with Core 6. Believe me or not. Just going off what I know.

I have no reason to blow smoke or lie on a message board. Core 6 coaches are getting a little "too involved" in the process now that they have a little cache and power.

    Beat Ohio!

  • LT just knocked out an opposing teams coach in the state championship game. Crete Monee is winning so far.
