That's not always the case. The reason they completely cut off the relationship with Dawson is because this has been an ongoing thing, and he was scheduling visits to Florida behind the coaches' backs after he had told them he was done with all that crap.
If a kid was straight forward about it, and took a visit, they would no longer consider him committed, but there would be a small chance that he could end up in the class down the road.

Also, We have yet to recruit a kid after they have Decommitted, but each situation would be handled individually.

Yea that name emerged quickly after Dawsons decommitment. I personally would rather see us go after a true tackle instead of another interior linemen.

True, but both kids lied to the coaching staff. I'll be interested to see what happens with Conley if he decided to visit Oregon.

ETHAN POCIC. I don't care what he says about still being firm to LSU, the kid wanted a Michigan spot badly, and he just got shut out. 3 and a half months til signing day is a lot of time for Hoke to work his magic.

Personally, I'm hoping what happened with Dawson makes Conley reconsider. Although at this point I'm expecting him to decommit, it's possible that the coaching staff showing how serious they are about flirtation with other schools could result in a chilling effect on Conley's consideration of Oregon.

thats who I really want too. Wanted him early in the process and would be very happy if we could bring him into the fold. It's worth tryin anyhow, like you said there's still a long way to go.

I'd take c and look for a tackle in the 14 class. We need to build up depth at tackle also. If the coaches are set on taking another OL in this class tho I would take a top tier gaurd over 2nd tier tackle.

Lets just see What transpires, We have no facts here to base anything conclusive. I would hope they look for another true tackle or go hard after an end. But the one thing we do know is that they will target a few lineman and they want to fill that spot. They have a plan and i wouldnt be surprised to see them take another guard.

Seriously, there's no gentleman's agreement anymore (if there ever even was one). Les Miles not only hasn't done anything that'd make me consider giving LSU special treatment, but he's actively done things that make me want to poach Ethan Pocic.
