I would trade a shaky kid for a Kid that wants to be here any day of the week.. Michigan has been around for along time for those who dont know.. So i believe everything will be OK..
Now I will say this .. I think we should do 4 things
1. Make the Call the LM3 daddy and say this" Pops we want your boy now, and we are done playing games" 2. find the next best O line man and do the same.... 3. call treads and say " Look asshole stop playing games and go ahead and commit or we are going to pull your offer and move on to the next guy aka Devon Allen" 4. Call Derrick Green and say this" Big dog, we lost a killer O-line man , but we still have a top 10 class and you WILL still have 1 of the best O - lines to play behind, so stop looking at Auburn's sorry arzzz and come play with the big boys!!"

Good thing you aren't a coach. If you were, you would be the worst recruiter ever.
You said "I would trade a shaky kid for a kid who wants to be here" and then proceed to be a moron and say that kids should commit now (before they are certain, instantly making the situation/hypothetical commitment shaky) or find somewhere else.
Brilliant.

Exactly, you would think after the death of his father, all the support he received from the Michigan community as well as the coaching staff and fellow commits that he would know Michigan treated him like family and would have been confirmation that there would be no better place for him to be.

EXACTLY!!! Yes I absolutely hope Dawson the best of luck wherever he ends up, but then take your time to commit. As silly as this Treadwell saga seems, at least he gives Michigan the option of going after another WR. I by no means am saying that Dawson is a bad kid with bad character or anything along those lines, but then don't commit early.

I am. That is absolutely ridiculous. This young man is a kid playing games behind the backs of men who have given him an amazing opportunity. A opportunity that could, and most likely will change his whole families direction in life. This is selfish, egotistical, a decision showing very little in regard to character and integrity.
How many offensive lineman has Florida had drafted #1?
Hoke is cut from a similar mold as the regime that achieved such lofty heights for Michigan offensive lineman.
Dumb decision, greatly over-rated David Dawson.

you sound silly, spoiled, and naive. Fact is Dawson did what's best for him, after all he is signing his name on the Letter of Intent, no one else has anything invested in this. This is common practice in recruiting so get over it. Dawson wasn't overrated when he was committed to us so don't be that guy now.

Character, character, character, he has very little IMO, thus very over-rated.
Common practice these days is to blame everything on everyone else, or make-up some lame excuse like this is what is best for me. This is why a persons word in this country isn't worth crap.
You sound liberal, unaccountable, and into following common practices.

So let me ask you a question Mr. character.. SInce we no longer have Dawson, who should we pursue to fill the spot? Pocic? McGovern? Two guys who are already committed to a school. Would those guys be low character guys if they flipped from LSU/ND to us? Hows Justice Hayes character? Kalis? Bellomy? Roundtree? You telling me you can judge a kids character by his sticking to a commitment that is not even valid until 2/1? How many lies have you told today that you felt were ok because you thought they were ok? Don't be so quick to judge when you have nothing investing in one;s life and you know little about one person. Fact is, recruiting is not a bubble gum and popsicles process, ish happens, so you should not attribute anything more than what it truly is in reality. In reality, this is a life long decision for a 17 yr old boy. Sometimes the wisest thing to do is to not stay along the same path if you feel its not the right thing for you. Better for him to leave now instead of having regrets when its Spring 2013 like we saw from other players. Get a new hobby if this recruiting thing is too hot for you

I would heavily recruit Dorian Johnson. Is he committed anywhere?
You only notice one side of the equation. Are you supporting communication behind the coaches back with other teams? Standing the other team up after having communication about visiting? Is this the kind of under-rated kid you would like to see playing at Michigan?
Ish does happen, and at Michigan I hope kids with Ish character like this continue to get dropped.
Hayes, Bellomy, and Roundtree took a step up in schools, both in education, and athletics
Kalis was a coaching change.
Florida has absolutely NOTHING on Michigan outside of the weather
