Dawson working hard. LM III really likes Michigan maybe Mattison can show off those prolific skills and help land him

I think it really all comes down to how Green and Treadwell decide. I could see us taking an extra DB if neither of those guys go Blue but I don't think that's very likely.

Love Dawson, and that'd be awesome if they joined him.

If Dawson and Campbell are both about 6'5, Webb is taller than I thought. Looks 6'1-6'2.

Also, is that pink thing supposed to be Dawson's tongue? That's a big tongue.

Mike Farrell ‏@rivalsmike Derrick Green driving 8 hours to see #Auburn take on #Clemson has to be a very good sign for Chizik and company. That's a heckuva drive

Since Green (or someone in his family) is driving, is it safe to assume that this is an unofficial?

    This was from yesterday:

    Mike Farrell ‏@rivalsmike
#Michigan is still the only official visit set for RB Derrick Green. Talking to #Auburn and #Vols about officials as well but no dates set

I still state ..... if DG does not decide for us at the MSU game, this one is going the distance IMHO.

  • Start hoping/praying for all of the following:
    - that Clemson murks Auburn
    - that Arkansas beats the brakes off of Auburn (even with John L. Smith at HC)
    - that Texas A&M crushes Auburn.

What does this have to do with 2013 recruiting?

Are you saying this b/c of Green's interest in Auburn?

Yes. A bad season by Auburn increases Michigan's chances with Derrick Green.

We unequivocally need to take a WR if Treads and Green dont come on board....we need more then 2 for the class. Dionte Taylor is a hell of back up plan....If Green doesn't commit, it will be interested to see if we take 2 more WR (4 total for class)

  • Sorry if this was already asked, can't remember if it was but I know a lot of you are in favor of banking a schollie if one of DG or Treadwell don't commit, but is there any chance a late offer goes out to Kenton Gibbs?

I would say that would be very unlikely at this point.

    1) Michigan already has Poggi and Hurst at DT in the 2013 class.

    2) I don't think Gibbs is even at the top of the list amongst DL among potential recruits.

    3) The staff isn't even pursuing their top DL targets very hard.

If they whiff on both Treadwell and Green, its a slight possibility, but if they whiff on just one, I bet they offer another receiver.

To be entirely honest, if they whiff on one or both of those guys, the local guy I would hope to get an offer would be Berkley Edwards. He could be a slot or a back.

Who would be above him as a 3-tech prospect? Off the top of my head I cant think of any. I just feel like he's a kid like Henry last year that wouldn't take much. He'd probably jump on a late offer and take it.

Dionte Taylor would be ahead of Edwards for an offer.

IMO, we're waiting on Green and Treadwell. If we lose Green but get Treadwell, that'd be it. If we get Green but lose Treadwell, we'd offer Taylor.

We don't really need another DL. We stopped recruiting Joe Mathis and Alquadin Muhammad, and they're much better than Kenton Gibbs.

It would not shock me if October comes and goes. He could easily have two great visits (UM and AU) where he "gets that feeling", and needs more time to decide.

We shall see. I hope he commits to UM sooner.

Actually I thought I read recently that we were still contacting Mathis.... he's just a plan B guy .. we all know who the 2 plan A guys are.
