Shane made a comment a while back that he has lot's of offers but that he doesn't care about telling everyone about them. The only way sites know about offers is when the recruit tells them. In fact some recruits say they have offers when they don't. The only reason they have the Bama offer for Shane listed is because Urban called him and he said he wouldn't talk to him so it became news. This offer list discussion is old news and has been discussed before.

Shane is so good, he does not need to tell the world how good. He does not need to show off. Modesty is why he is so well respected among his peers.

Webb is saying the lead for Treadwell is shrinking because he may want to play in a spread offense.
Think he needs to get on campus to clear up any confusion between him and coaches.

Well I don't know much, but Treadwell in a spread offense makes absolutely no sense to me.

If LT, DG and/or LM3 don't pan out it is a shame, but it is not the end of the world. It is still a great class and banking a couple slots for next year might work out great. Besides somewhere in Michigan, Penn, or Ohio is a late bloomer who will become a stud in his senior year that we'd like to have.

Agreed. But you now have 'other' coaches whispering in his ear to play in the spread, which is working against our pro-set offense. Why LT would waste his time in the spread is beyond me - especially when he can have SM throwing to him. Getting him on campus is not the answer. Hoke and staff need to explain why his skills are better matched to a pro-set offense, and the quickest path to the pros. Better get on this one quick, as the whirlwind tour through OK, OKS, FL, etc. may not be kind to us.

There's not much difference for a WR between pro style and spread. If we ran the triple option or single wing I would get where he's coming from.

Think yall are missing the point on LT, its not Pro set vs a typical spread. Its pro set vs Oklahoma state's throw like 80% that's probably got him thinking. As a WR OK st, wvu, and Washington states O's would be blast to play in

That's an odd comment from Webb. What is the timing of that comment. Treadwell just this week told a couple of analysts including Sam he want's to play in a pro offense. He's not sure about Michigan and a pro offense (odd as well since that's what Borges will do in '13) and want's to see what we do this fall (odd again since we'll still have a hybrid).
Now there is a pass oriented Spread that OKie State uses. They are on his list and that would make sense. I don't think he's looking at any other spreads.
Clearly, there are coaches and other recruits using the old FUD sales strategy. Hope it doesn't work since the FUD they are using isn't backed up by the facts.

This is spot on. LaQuon is infatuated with the Air-Raid type spread-offense that Oklahoma State and Oklahoma run. He does not want to play in a run oriented, read-option based spread offense like we run at this time.
