From reading their board, it looks like they want to take 5 LBs this class, so I'm not sure that means anything yet.

    Can't hurt though.

  • Coaches want three WRs. I'd put one of those ahead of the fourth DL, probably Muhammad. Also, I'm not sure how realistic Matuska is (read: not realistic). The guy from Wisconsin would be much more likely IMO.

True I guess it all depends on how the class fills up in the near future but we lack depth on the Dline and I think we desperately need bodies there. Maybe take away one of those LBs and put in the third WR but I don't know who the coaches are recruiting for that spot. Obvious wants are James Quick and Robert Foster but those just aren't realistic until they've been on campus. Maybe Rob Wheelwright but he really likes Wisconsin.

Yeah, I know what you mean about how the class fills up, but I'd be shocked if we don't take at least 2 more WRs.

Same. Shane tweeted the other day about taking 3 WR.

Yeah but we were supposed to take 6 OL last year and you saw how that worked out.

I think that had more to do with the guys they were after not dropping. If Garnett, Kozan, or Diamond wanted to commit we would have taken two of them.

True but at this point since we don't know who has legit interest in Michigan at WR other than Laquon Treadwell it's pointless to speculate on who might be the 3rd WR in this class.

    Where did u hear that?

Here's a blurb from Tremendous indicating he's a Michigan target and also that he's expressed Michigan interest (which it really pains me to point out):

    http://thisismichiganfootball.blogspot.com/2011/12/few-minor-recruiting-notes-1128-and.html?m=0

This Rivals profile used to show LSU as higher interest than the other schools listed, though they must have changed it:

    http://rivals.yahoo.com/colorado/football/recruiting/player-Jabrill-Peppers-115915

Interestingly, he transferred high schools a few weeks ago:

    http://www.nj.com/hssports/blog/football/index.ssf/2012/02/jabrill_peppers_transfers_to_paramus_catholic_from_don_bosco_prep.html

If you're really interested, there was an article in the New Yorker a few months ago about Don Bosco football that spent a lot of time talking about Peppers. Your old friend Yuri Wright even gets mentioned here and there.

Don't underestimate the loss of Ron Cooper to the Bucs. Irreplaceable coach, IMO. Going to be interesting to see who Les hires to replace him. Just saw that Priest Willis got the offer he was wanting most from the Tigersz

I get the impression that Peppers is somewhat focused on the "it" teams more than anything so we'll see who is on top next year, but good point. Check out that link to the article that Peppers just transferred that I posted on the reply to Geauxwolverines. A fellow on Bucknuts who knows the Bosco coaches actually speculated this would happen about a month ago and turned out to be right. If you're really interested, Peppers has a few rap videos up on youtube besides being mentioned in that New Yorker article I also reference.

Check out RB Leonard Fournette and RB Sony Micheal. A few analyst said that Fournette would have been the too RB last year he's that good. Both are class of 2014.

Wow, Fournette does look like a man amongst boys in the Youtube video. I'm sure he'll be tough to pull out of LA, though. Sony Michael looks just as ridiculous, especially given the clips I could find were of him in 8th and 9th grade vs varsity competition. South Florida will be tough to extract him from, as well.

Speaking of 2014 talent, I found this link to the Air Force All sophomore team:

Looks like some top talent in the Midwest again. Michigan fans no doubt will love this list.

WR Drake Harris has us in his top group, but he'll be a hard pull from MSU unfortunately.

OL Andy Bauer really likes us.

    Jibreel Pepper is amazing.

    I'll take those three thumbsup

Only problem with Sony Michael is he just had knee surgery this past year on his ACL, he's a HEAVY Miami lean and Fournette is supposed to be an LSU lean.

  • Is there a reason why we haven’t offered QB Aaron Bailey from IL. Is he a NW or ND Lean? Haven’t seen any tape on him but he seems like he is highly touted and a good athlete.

Iowa seems to been in good position. Alviti will probably commit to N'western before long. Down to NW/ND, but I do not want. I like Bailey much more. Didn't tOSU offer Bailey?

Agree. We are in excellent position with Treadwell and he is the coaches' #1 WR priority right now. If we don't land him, the coaches will shift gears and open up WR recruiting further. But, if we get Treadwell, I think the coaches are more likely to purdue a RB who can catch or another TE.
