    Nothing. Dawson said that a commit or two will be coming at the BBQ and then a whole lot of OT stuff.

    Times must be tough in EL. When your recruiting class is not living up to expectations, and you cannot get the athletes you want, the fanbase resorts to X-Files conspiracy theories, insults, and low commentary.

    I hope Wilcher steers Finley to Wisconsin. The meltdown at RCMB and Bucknuts would be tremendous and Finley gets to play on one of the best OLs year in and year out.

  • The good thing about this staff is that taking an elite athlete from the Chicago or Detroit Public schools is that they have the abilities to progress them as a football player... The staff has great technical coaches who know how to get the most out of a kid that is a mediocre football player but a tremendous athlete.... The last staff seemed to lack patience with that (IMO)... I think we see this round of Cass Tech kids improve greatly at Michigan and not be labeled as a bust.. Hate them or not, Sparty coaches have done a great job getting these tweeners and athlete and turning them into very productive players... I think this staff has that ability and will be looking forward to see what they can do with these public school kids who have had less than average football and strength coaching thus far

    Anyone see the tweet from LT where he said he talked to "Leon" about his "decision"? With the latest recruiting developments at USC for the defense, I am feeling better for LM III.

    Webb will be a tough draw, if he is set on the SEC. I always thought our only competition would be from the SEC. Now, I have added USC into the mix. MSU? OSU? ND? None have a legit shot at him.

    USC only has 3 spots left right now since they are sitting at 15 commits after Ramsey and can go to a max of 18 in this class. They have legit shots at Vernon Hargreaves, Priest Willis, and Tahaan Goodman if they want another DB in the class. I don't know what other positions they are recruiting for, but definitely seems like McQuay is less likely to end up there now.

    I think they take Max Redfield if they take another DB. Just by default, I think McQuay is down to Vandy and us.

    Yeah, I don't think he's "set on the SEC" at all. I just think LSU is going to be serious competition because of a few factors:

    - Webb has quite a bit of family in Louisiana as you can tell by his Twitter pictures with all his cousins
    - Miles knows the Detroit area from his time at Michigan and might be able to make it feel closer to home(just speculation on my part)
    - Joe Barksdale from Cass Tech went to LSU in 2006 or 2007 and ultimately got drafted in the NFL.
    - LSU + cornerback == very attractive.

    I think Michigan is going to be in it until the end, but do think this one could stretch out longer than most of us thought it would when LSU offers him today.
