  • Lewis a three star? Haha what? Because his height? What was Richardson ranked last year? Lewis is taller then him and I think better. I'm sorry I don't wanna sound mean but I'm not really sure this staff that is doing the rankings knows what they are talking about. Unbelievable

    My issue is not so much Jourdan being rated 90, its his position ranking. I already felt being ranked the 23rd best corner was pretty low considering what he has demonstrated at many camps (rivals, opening, etc) so if he drops even lower not sure what defense could be given.

    On another note, I know its sacrilegious to say this but we laugh at Marshall being dropped but he will be a talent that we will have our hands full with on the field.

    I appreciate your honesty on Marshall. I can understand him being ranked #80 right now because he's never played WR before so remains raw at the position, but there's no OSU recruit I'm more excited about in the 2013 class right now. The kid is a flat out baller and I struggle to believe he won't see a ton of success on the field.

    I haven't studied Lewis the way you guys have but, FWIW, my impression of the clips I saw of him at the Opening were that he had great athleticism, quickness and change of direction, but tended to get pushed around pretty easily by the bigger receivers. That diving interception he made in the finals was ridiculous!

    I think one of the problems Lewis is facing in the rankings is the cornucopia of top flight DBs this year. For the life of me I can't ever recall so many top notch DBs in one class. The top 100 already is so dominated by DBs that I'd speculate the services feel the need to space some of these guys out, and all the DBs also are being evaluated against their peers, who are abnormally awesome this year. In other words, I'd bet he'd rank somewhat higher in last year's class.

    I'll say it now before he commits to you - I love Treadwell. I think that guy is underrated at 71. He's such a classic great route running, tall, fast, long armed prototypical WR with nice hops and hands.

    I wonder why he wasn't interested in Michigan more, or the coaching staff in him, whichever it was. Michigan seems like his kind of school.

    I'm just throwing it out there, but maybe he gets into trouble doing things that we wouldn't want at Michigan, or he has problems with grades.

    Hargreaves just named USC his leader. Another whiff for urban. Unreal class for USC though if they close with Hargreaves.

    The star average for USC may be the highest ever.

    They have 6 5* right now on Scout and they have a realistic chance of have 8 when signing day rolls around, that's just wrong.

  • It will be an 18 kid class with possibly a 4.5 star average.... Not bad to split the class with 4 and 5 stars... I guess we will see if Kiffin is a good coach or just a great recruiter... Tee Martin is putting in work out there.... I am sure the boosters are as well.

    That talent will be wasted though under kiffin. this will be a short lived victory for the trojans. kiffin will ruin everything with another scandal or terrible coaching.

    Yea, USCw has a chance at ending up with the #1 class with the 18 they will bring in.

    Michigan will end up top 10, but they need help to end up in the top 5. If you look at Michigan's rating of 756.15, it would have been the #11 class for the 2012 cycle and the #12 class for the 2011 cycle.

    Landing Treadwell will move the needle a bit, but the main thing they need is bumps from current commits. Morris getting a bump yesterday moved the rating up a point, but they will need quite a few other commits to get bumps to move Michigan up to the low to mid 760's that it takes to land a top 5 class here at 247.

    I posted on it earlier this spring, but while Michigan has a ton of 4* commits, quite a few of them are low 4*'s. Michigan had more top end 4* kids last year compared to this year, at this point.

    That usually refers to their ranking not their individual rating.
