He’s still very young though. I’m not as worried as I would be if it was Rueben Foster or Jaylon Smith going to tOSU but he’s still a hell of an athlete with 4 to 5 years to develop in to a football player. His upside is extremely high if he ever reaches it.
Kind of lame on Anzalone’s part. Seems like a sore loser.

For giggles,I followed Leon McQuays dad on twitter after his comments yday. Interesting to note that he certainly is following Shane and sending him tweets of encouragement, but as the twitter police will say. Don't read into that. Just thought I'd share

Sore loser and bitter? Shane also retweeted the statement that places him in the same boat correct? Oh wait, Shane didn't participate. Perhaps like Shane, Alex didn't feel the need to validate themselves through combine like drills and just made a general statement. No one knows why Alex posted that so its lame to make assumptions and assign labels based on one text.

If Alex doesn't feel the need to compete to "validate" himself, what is doing at the Opening? Sorry, but when Alex Anzalone (OLB) shows up and competes for the SPARQ title and then Mike Mitchell (OLB) does the same thing and wins the competition, it's pretty bad form for Alex to tweet what he did. We all know what he meant by it. He should have patted Mike Mitchell on the back and congratulated him, not put out a public statement dissing his accomplishment. And I'm going to guess that his poor sportsmanship was partly driven by the fact that Anzalone decommitted from OSU and Mitchell is rumored to have OSU near the the top of his list. I'm sure the Nuts are running around saying they've found a replacement OLB who is better than Anzalone, but that's a lousy excuse for poor sportsmanship.

The SPARQ competition is just one event at the opening, not all of the UM commits participated so you can show up at the opening and not do the sparq. Not sure if Alex did or not, but again not sure how you can tie his tweet to Mitchell especially since he didn't say his name. You are drawing to that conclusion. You would have a point if Ohio didn't accept Anzalone's commitment, but he decommitted from them and from all accounts Ohio has tried their hardest to get him back to no success so why would he be bitter? Think what you choose but if thats the conclusion you draw I guess Shane and Quon are the same sore losing bitter athletes as Alex because they retweeted it correct?

Since Fred Jackson has been around forever, it'll be interesting to see what happens to the RB coach spot after he retires. IMO the two clear frontrunners are both former Michigan RBs in Wheatley and Hart. Wheatley will have the experience but it'll be awesome to see what happens. We'll have the answer in a few years.

Great get for EMU, really rooting for English and Hart to succeed. Would love to see both back at Michigan.

As for the other Position Coach, I like Wheatley. He's a beast recruiter in the city. Guy can go into any living room in Ohio and say he beat the Bucks was a 5*, Rose Bowl Victory etc. He has Syracuse in on a lot of top guys, who end up elsewhere cuz he's selling upstate NY, but he's go the kids attention

I was telling them it was premature.
