  • I only watched a few minutes of the NE v. SE and wasn't too impressed with what I saw out of Hackenberg. It sounds like he was really good during the other games so it was probably just an off game. Honestly don't think a team can go wrong with Morris, Hackenberg, or Browne and look forward to seeing them compete in the Elite 11 and The Opening.

Would love to see him at UM, but looks doubtful.

I still find him overrated, and would not mind if he wound up at auburn

I feel safe in saying that I don't have a clue.

I am interested in hearing what the coaching staff is telling McQuay, though.

And I'm nearing the point where I just want the staff to offer Matt Miller and Berkley Edwards and shutting it down for the cycle. Bring on 2014.

    Great Idea!

How his film is very comparable to Isaac's. Just not the speed burst.

I agree. I don't think we get a running back at all to close out the class.

Overrated to this class I guess is a better way of putting it. I am excited for Deveon Smith in the future. Behind our O-line, being the type of runner that he is, I think he will be extremely productive. Not to mention we have Fitz around for presumably 2 more years, and a couple of other talented backs who provide great depth with Rawls potentially breaking out. And not that it is set in stone, but I'd place my bets in favor of Michigan landing a very highly touted back in 2014 if we don't take another this year.

I'm not saying I'd be disappointed if he joined the class, I'd be thrilled, I just wouldn't mind waiting to go all in on some talented backs next year. Which there seem to be plenty of.

While I agree with everything u said here, I think Wilkins would be the perfect compliment to Smith. At. The same time, his commitment wouldn't make or break this class, but his film is very good.

I also watched the NE vs SE game and agree Hackenburg was horrible. Thru 3/4 he had 1 td and threw 4 ints in a row. Thats when i turned it off. He missed a 7 yard crossing route by 3 feet behind the reciever for a pick. I figured the NE was cooked at that point...Although, the announcers did say he was turning heads until he lost it and was way off.

agree 100%. i think we should stop going after a rb. we really dont need one in this class and already got smith. we need those last 2 or 3 schollies for other positions. we got some good rb in the 2014 class interested in Michigan.

It appears that coaches may be just targeting the best available at this point. They've basically filled their needs and seem prepared to take any one of a number of guys.

    Best Interception

Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech cornerback Jourdan Lewis

In one of the first plays of the day, Lewis made Whitewright (Texas) quarterback Tyrone Swoopes his victim. It was a go-route down the sideline and Swoopes threw it to the outside shoulder of the receiver. Lewis showed his great closing speed and got in front of the receiver getting his hands between him and the ball securing the interception. It was a highlight-worthy play. Another nice interception on the day came from Auburn (Ala.) linebacker Reuben Foster, who kept a deflected pass off the ground by inches securing the interception while laying out.

it seems that way. the wr position is the only one that is not filled. if we get treadwell i think the last 1 or 2 spots go to best available like you said.

he looks better every camp. just like dawson. i really want to see how dymonte and conley will perform at a camp though. it would really tell us a lot about them.

I heard a lot of positive things regarding Lewis before he committed. TomVH and others who followed the 2012 Cass recruits would often report that he was the best one on the field. Since committing his name has gotten extremely quiet, and now it's rightfully resurfacing. I just watched his highlights for the first time in a while, and I simply cannot wait for him to gear up. With our recent CB and safety hauls, including already having Countess on the field, our secondary is going to be filthy. Then I think about our LB and D-Line hauls, and I just don't know what facet of our D i'm more excited about. The future cannot be brighter
